It’s far too early to draw any conclusions about Brau, but it was weird to see him briefly play up front while Haji drifted out wide left.

There were some glimpses of a great first touch, pace and good delivery into the box. I think Frank is giving him some bedding in time.

Funny that Brau was getting completely lost. He was stood right next to Wright at one point.

He’s a LB/LWB so can’t blame him….

This was when Wright was stood right in the middle as a phoney 9.

He probably thought he could do a better job than our strikers… so don’t blame him lol

It wasn't that strange when chasing the game and we had the ball.

I like that he has a bit of urgency, great ball into the box that nobody read

Brau being in the forward position was clearly tactical. Lampard was giving him pretty extensive instructions about where to go before he came on.

Given that we’ve spent approximately £16 million combined on our strikers over the past few years, I found it odd that a free agent LB from the Spanish second division was out nominal striker in a game we were trying to win.

Having a natural left footer wide left was probably to try and spread the game out

Can’t understand how anyone saw that Dasilva had a good game. Defensively they strolled in behind him. He did well going forward once and then blazed a cross wildly out. The supposed “tackle” in the second half was a poorly timed stumble when making the tackle properly was easier. Brau has to start.

Right in front of me. Reckless with feet off the ground and a booking all day long. Very good tackle in the 1970's though.

Dasilva had a good game playing out and going forward. But he hasn't got a clue about defending and sensing danger. Grimes had a right go at him for just jogging back in response to a Hull counter attack

Yes he is playing as well as he ever has for us, but he is still a liability.

I was referring to the parts of the game when Haji Wright drifted out to the left and Brau had to move inside to the #9 role to compensate.

Very clearly tactical, watch back any of our pre-season games and you'll see both fullbacks drifting inside in attacking positions, KKH's goal v Rovers is a prime example.

As others have said, easing him in as you aren’t going to get exposed at LW in the same way as would at LB.

He has good technique and wants the ball. Interested to see more of him, but there’s no way he should be staring LB at this point

I wasn’t that surprised it was a booking but at the same time the ref had tried to let pretty much everything go up until then.

In my opinion not a booking it was just two players coming together never wreckless.

Its not coincidence that the opposition target that side of the pitch when he's playing

In my opinion Brau is a good signing, looks quick enough, physically strong enough and definitely is technically able to be given more time as weeks go on. This is good competition for JDS who although gets targeted had a decent game yesterday. He still drifts and was lucky yesterday to get away with the time he got caught ball watching.

Still think Bidwell and JDS can be players we can improve on and 1 could be moved on before the window shuts.

Hopefully see him start against Luton, looks like he needs time to find his place in the team.
Showed enough glimpses to suggest there's plenty to work with, although not quite ready to be thrown into a league start.

I think he will be our first choice left back by mid September, seen enough of him so far to see he has real ability , pace and decent technique

I think he's been signed to provide cover to EMC and if needed LB, he is good when it comes to the defensive role of the LW, unlike Haji who often isn't much use when he has to defend if he plays wide left. It looks to me like Lampard has little intention of playing Haji out on the left, he will play centrally either on his own of as part of a front two.

It was a foul, but shouldn't have been a yellow card

Yep-had a reasonable game yesterday but as usual there were the several switches from right to left that caught him out-particularly first half.

Dasilva got exposed time and time again on the few times they attacked. MVE gets away with it as he has pace to track back. Dasilva hasn’t and gets caught out of position easily. Against better teams it’s going to again be a problem.

Thought he positioned well so he didn't have to chase back so much. Won every tackle or ball back in the first half.
