That doesn’t look particularly strong to be honest. Burroughs hasn’t played a competitive match at RB in his career. We’re not likely to play 2 left footers at CB either unless things are desperate.
It’s not just ‘who can cover’ you need role players to compete to start for places and have players who can change games in-game.

Agree. What I dont want to see is Lati there. I think MR uses that as an excuse to give him more game time as he's a good player but not first choice CB, so he shoehorns him in there as cover or as cover for CM. He's neither. He's CB and should only play there imo.I agree that Eccles is the best player to deputise for MVE if he is injured, suspended or needs to be rested.
Which is actually my point. In terms of numbers we still have less players than that season. The quality outside of start XI is obviously a lot higher. So we’re a good 2-3 players short of having a squad able to compete in all cup competitions and the league.

Looking through the squads on TransferMarkt I'll give 25 players that season, including the half season squad members of JWE, BNC, McNally, Sean Maguire and Todd Kane. That also includes Cian Tyler who I haven't included in this years squad.
This season we already have 24, not including BTA or Obikwu.

They need to make it uniform 2bh - it’s why there’s so many headaches with Leicester and Sheff Utd etc. prem is like 107m losses over 3 years, it’s I think 18m over 3 years in the championship and league one and two and some sort of salary cap I thinkAh ok.
