Can’t speak for anyone else (obv!) but for me liking a player isn’t purely based on how technically ‘good’ they are or even if they ‘put a shift in’ (hi Max). There are just some players that suit their role, are enthusiastic in what they do, perform relatively consistently for their level, do a good job within the team, are obviously respected by their teammates, show desire and passion and look like they give a shit, possess technical abilities above and beyond anything I could ever dream of doing even when I was young and fit(ter) and perhaps most importantly — rock a good hairstyle.Sorry, but don't get all the excitement. Decent going forward but still not sure about him defensively. I'm sure he will have stiffer tests than what we've had this season.
