Doesnt feel as if we will fill the away allocation ...up to 2700 , just spoke to the ticket office , she said we have around (in her words) 100 unrestricted tickets left (i thought the initaial 1800 behind the goal)then we will be moving onto the restricted area (im guessing the other 900) but im told we have sold 1100 by others , either the numbers dont make sense or im just wrong about something .
Il be dissapointed if we dont fill the away end really as its the first match

1) We are a Division 3 club, 2) Our owners have done everything in their powers to alienate the club from its fans.

That we still have 1,500 (or so) fans prepared to travel to watch us play in Yorkshire is impressive imo.

A statement on the official website said this morning 1030 sold and 470 left. I just went to buy 2 online and it says sold out apart from the disabled section.

To be fair, Bradford away is not the most appealing. Lack of pubs, not a great record there and the fact were still not playing at the Ricoh and most of the pre-season excitement was about a court case, can you blame fans? Bit like MK, 2 weeks Saturday and we've only sold 1,600 tickets.

Saying that ive got tickets for both and personally cant wait

So tickets behind the goal are still available? Need to pick some up.

That's alright then. The away end at Bradford is superb, the atmosphere was one of the best there last season
season!

Yeah it was despite being on sky. First 20 mins were probably the best all last season. It was quality, shame about the lack of pubs close to the ground and of course the last minute equaliser.

I haven't been to Bradford since Carlton Palmer entered the tunnel after the game and gestured to us that we were w@nkers! Anyway, once these tickets are sold are we likely to get any more or the option to pay on the gate?

470 remaining. Another 1,000 in the Midland Road end when we sell the 470. Not sure of pay on the gate.

Ha, remember that. He also gave us the bird as he went down the tunnel after a 6-1 loss at Chelsea. Lanky twat.

I'll be there with my son on Saturday but I haven't been to Bradford since 6th November 1999 in the premiership and the infamous "pitchfork incident" with Gary McAllister. Still trying to find a fan who was there and noticed/remembers it. After all these years I'm starting to think maybe I imagined it..................

I'm intrigued, do tell!

I'm there on Saturday. Really looking forward to it and the season starting... Give it 30 mins and I'll be desperate for pre-season again!

No chance of making any August fixtures. I would have loved to have gone to Bradford and Swindon.

We had took the lead after about 50 seconds I believe and I think it was Gary Mac who scored our goal. Anyway, as the teams were walking off at half time, Gary Mac was one of the last ones to leave the pitch and the ground staff had already come on with their pitchforks. As Gary passed this old guy who was forking the pitch, the guy swung round and deliberately stabbed him in the leg and then carried on forking the pitch. Gary Mac was going crazy and went to the side of the pitch to either tell the police or stewards what had happened (I can't remember which) and they came on and escorted the guy away. I've told the story so many times to cov fans I've met and I've yet to find anyone who remembers it. I even tried to find Gary Mac on Twitter to ask him about it but I don't think he's on there, so I asked Steve Frogatt (he played in the match) but he ignored me so he probably thinks I'm a raving lunatic...

MK will grow (I haven't got my 2 yet!) - waiting til I'm back from Italy. Don't think the Bradford sales are that bad, all things considered. The fans just need a bit of encouragement from the team/owners (and yes, I know the team need it back....our owners, however....)

Hopefully mate, be disappointed if we don't take at least 3k there. Bank holiday weekend (hopefully sun is shining) just a shame about lack of boozers near the ground... I was thinking earlier. I'd be happy with 7 points end of August with our early fixtures. That would set us up nicely

The end behind the goal will sell out before saturday.

It's crazy, if it does then the next buyers will have much better views & facilities in the Midland Road. My advice to folk in the lower is to ask to if you can move into the MR when you are in VP.

PS If there is one thing Bradford does not lack, it is pubs, only around VP is a pub free zone.

I'll be disappointed if we take any less than 5k to MK - fans who have been there for the last 2 seasons have seen 2 amazing games, so I would expect a highish percentage of 'returners' on the strength of that. Bought mine direct from MK last year - so those sales to add in too. And welcome to SBT, Lurker (you're probably too young to remember the character, but I've already got you marked as Lurkio - Frankie Howard character off up Pompeii - close?) ;)

You know what I meant mate. Very distant lack of boozers by the ground which is never good on a matchday

I know H but last season was unprecentdated (spelling) in terms of numbers. Year before was Christmas time so guaranteed numbers. Hopefully like you say though, plenty or returners. See how the first couple of weeks go... And yes your right mate, I'm far to young to know what your referring to haha but thanks for the welcome. Roll on Saturday

I just chased up my tickets which I ordered on Thursday of last week as they have yet to be delivered...

'Bradford did you say? I have two purchased for the Barnsley home game which went out yesterday, so they should arrive today!'

'Sorry, but that is an error made by yourselves. For starters, I wouldn't set foot in that ground'

'Oh, ok. I will just arrange for BRADFORD to be sent out today'.

That could've been embarrassing if I had arrived at Valley Parade and not opened the envelope until I got to the turnstile! Who the hell are they employing these days?! Braaaaadford away............Baaaaarnsley home! Not even remotely similar apart from the 'B' at the beginning!

Fuck it, just decided i'm going. Wen't last year, conceded last minute and ruined the day. Goat curry, can of red stripe and a very large herbal ciggy. FOOTBALL IS BACK!

Stand behind the goal is arguably my favourite away end in the league.

Saltaire, bit of advice - I'm going to Manchester by train after the match. What's the best station to go from?

The Interchange station pal, you can go direct to Manchester from there. The others station, nearest VP (Forster Sq) serves the northern lines. Believe it or not, Bradford has two central stations, a few hundred yards apart, both friggin dead ends!
