Sounds like the crowd is gonna be much higher than other home attendances unless the rumours aren't true

We should hijack a good story for Sisu and Fisher by designating this a game that we are going to to show support to the team and the club and to show the owners what they are missing by keeping our team away from Coventry.

What do we reckon?

i think returning the club to Coventry for the benefit of the fans isn't even on their radar.

I guess Peterborough will bring a lot, could be down to that? Don't they not get on with Northampton, maybe their fans are going to come along for a punch up.

I'm happy to hijack a good attendance but I feel very very anti supporting my Coventry outside of Coventry for any other reason. If peterboro bring 1000 plus the crowd could be close to 3000.

Happy to ask Nick to pull the post but just thought i'd put the thought out there

Northampton and P'boro hate each other with a passion. They will bring a load that's for sure because of where the game is and of course being a holiday game. Be amazed if there was any grief though towards us. If the game had been any other day apart from Boxing Day, then there may have been some hassle with local chavs.

So boxing day is the only day there wouldn't be fighting

Maybe we could all go and jump the turnstiles, thereby supporting the team without supporting sisu.

Heard on the radio tonight that Peterborough have sold all behind the goal and half of one stand on one side, not sure but if true they said about 3k fans worth. If true, only enough space for about 4k CCFC for anyone thinking of going (not for me though).

I think the full away allocation is about 1800, but wouldn't be surpsied if they ended up with the whole of the East stand on the side which would take it to about 3k or just under. Either way, they will out number us.

We'll probably get beat at Swindon and more apathy will set in. I was gonna go, but really can't be arsed now. If I need a Boxing Day football fix I'll probably do Tamworth v Nuneaton, always a lively affair that.

IMO.....Completely opposite from NOPM would have a greater affect of getting us out of Northampton!.........For example if all the 10,000 fans who turned up last year were to go to sixfields, the police/stewards would not be able to cope with the volume of traffic/people and certainly would not be able to control the 3000 people outside the stadium getting very heated as they cant get in to see the match........As I said IMO only!!!!!...

Thank Goodness! Was worried that we might go through 24 hours without a thread with everyone saying they won't go to Sixfields. Apart from RFC that is.

Now can someone please rustle up a thread in which people can misspell SISU in an amusing way?

Done Peterborough v D&R (Shaun Jeffers touched the ball once and didn't look great & Zavon Hines spends more time rolling around on the floor than actually kicking a ball) and Fulham v Spurs in the last few weeks. Did Burton v York on Saturday (cracking open game but Chris Hussey's still shite).

Plan is atm to do Arsenal v Chelsea (waiting to hear if a mate's sorted me a ticket) on Monday 23rd, Wycombe v Newport on Boxing Day, West Ham v Baggies on Saturday 28th and Everton v Southampton on 29th. That lot should keep me entertained in between Swindon and Rotherham!

Anyone who uses this as an excuse to go to Northampton is no better than pond life as far as I'm concerned.

If you wish to go to Northampton, join the other 1500 or so and go, some people have kids who are not old enough to understand and go for that reason, its your choice. Anyone who is behind this crazy idea obviously hasn't got the balls to make their own decision, just does what the 'crowd' decides and follows like sheep and all along is desperate to go to Northampton. Anyone who jumps on this bandwagon and goes for 1 game is pathetic.

They already know the support is there with the MKdons attendance so no need to do it at Northampton. NOPM
I guess if Sisu build the new L1 stadium they plan on most these returning so I will not be attending home or away now. KCIC

Following the crowd would surely involve never going, as that's what we're constantly reminded the majority of people are doing.

Pond life and sheep? Bit mad. NOPM!!!

Sisu aside, it is concerning that we might be massively outnumbered by the away fans for what is probably an important game.

I suspect if they ask for more tickets they will be given them....

Sisu don't deserve it, but the team does. For those that don't want to contribute to Sisu's pocket, imho you are not - you are paying the players wages as Sisu will still lose more money on top.

I can understand those that are not wanting to contribute to the Sisu coffers, but even if we got 1000+ on the hill that would help... Lets fill our stand behind the goal and the hill behind it for one game only...

Totally agree!.......and I guess those that don't want to fill Sisu's coffers will not be going to Barnsley in the FA Cup as they will get 50%!!

Please what is wrong with the education system in this country that people don't know the difference between You're and your, and Cleaver and Clever?

It's English OUR LANGUAGE and so many people fail to use it correctly. I appreciate that this is an internet forum and the grammer police need not apply but come on, at least try to make sense. What makes it worse is that google can be accessed within seconds if you're unsure as to how to spell a word or what it means.

Homer this is not aimed directly at you but is a generalisation aimed more at the education system than the people whom it has failed.

Not the education system mate, but the parents who teach kids not to respect it or gain from it.

Go and look at the curriculum next time you get a chance, or have a look at a GCSE paper.

Standards are WAY higher than in my day (and that was less than 20 years ago). Unfortunately, behaviour and student engagement is way lower.

This classic cartoon explains why in some measure (and I find your post along the same lines):
