Birmingham fixtures (up to 40 game mark) - currently 28 points

Sheff Wed (a)
Norwich (h)
QPR (h)
Huddersfield (a)
Barnsley (a)
Bristol City (h)
Reading (h)
Watford (a)
Swansea (h)
Brentford (a)

Sheff Wed (up to 40 games) - currently 28 points

Birmingham (h)
Brentford (a)
Luton (a)
Rotherham (h)
Reading (a)
Norwich (h)
Huddersfield (h)
Barnsley (a)
Watford (a)
Cardiff (h)
QPR (a)

I have not bothered with Rotherham, who I think will escape, nor Huddersfield who I think may also be in the mire, but would be interested to see what points total you think Blues and Wednesday will be on at the 40 game mark (I have both around 39 points !!) If Sheff Wed/Blues draw it could scupper both of them, and whichever side loses is further 'in it'

Have added my guesses into your post, Harry. I would bother with Huddersfield and Rotherham. I think one of them could definitely be in the mix, if not both. I think Blues may well eak another win from somewhere, so we are very closely aligned.

While its a bit of fun looking at this with so many games to play its impossible to say and fairly pointless trying to work out. There are too many imponderables that you can't factor in: injuries, suspensions, luck both for & against, the strength of the opposition will change throughout this period as form comes and goes, and there is also every chance of new managers at these teams, which could have a McCarthy effect, or more preferably a Russell Slade effect. What we need to focus on is getting to 50+ points then there should be a minimum of 3 teams below us come what may.

Yeah you can't not include Huddersfield and Rotherham.

Granted Rotherham are in good form but they're still right in the mix.

Huddersfield are in freefall and will be down there too.

Bristol City are also in total freefall with a mountain of injuries, but they should be fine.

I think: Wycombe, Blues, Wednesday. But it really is wide open.

Our run in looks better than Brum and Sheffield Wednesday for sure pinning hopes on Godden coming back for March maybe

Brum got that horrible run we're having now but later on when it will hurt them more and we hopefully can climb away. No easy games but I always said as long as we were still in touch after this run we'd be ok. Only a couple to go and still currently outside is a bonus.

We're in a dog fight with brum, sheff Rotherham Huddersfield in my opinion, Derby forest we're always going to turn it around at some point qpr signing Austin will keep them clear.

Birmingham better hope they start picking up points soon because those last 4 games are brutal.

To be honest, I ran out of patience to list Huddersfield's next 10 (but as I said, I think they are in trouble), and I think they are more vulnerable than Rotherham. Here, now, are their next 10 !

Huddersfield: currently 33 points

Swansea (h)
Derby (a)
Preston (a)
Birmingham (h)
Cardiff (h)
QPR (a)
Sheff Wed (a)
Brentford (h)
Norwich (a)
Rotherham (h)

Can see them losing the first 3 of that run, and really don't see them picking up many points (other than perhaps Blues or Sheff Wed, which won't harm us either).

TBH, I'd just look at everyone's last 2 fixtures as I doubt very much relegation will be decided before then!

Only problem is that if you have a few middle table clubs to play who are safe/can't make the play offs, there may well be the usual 'unexpected' results. Our last couple of games are at Huddersfield away (could be interesting!) and Millwall (h). At the moment, I'm happy with those as our last two!

My worry is they'll bin Karanka and get a bit of new manager bounce

You've got to include huddlesfield, rotherham and Forest in that, and probably Derby too. There's only 6 points before 23rd and Derby.

Barnsley are having a great season, definitely a club to emulate, if possible.

Both Birmingham and Sheffield I would say need to win at least 50% of those games and then draw some tough ask and they start that fun with each other and so do we looking at the fixtures I would rather ours than either of theirs.

Were already swapping players. Though right now I’d rather have kept Chaplin and they kept James.

I only ignored them as I honestly believe they will finish above Blues, Sheff Wed and Wycombe. Will happily reassess that when they have played their next few games, but I think I they have more about them than the others (including Huddersfield).

Currently we are out of the bottom three so it's in our own hands.

There's only one way forward: focus on our own games because you can't change anyone else's.

Would much rather get this run of games out the way now, Birmingham Wednesday is a massive game at the weekend. Blues need to pull their finger out because that final 4 games is grim.

Let’s concentrate on our games and hope we don’t need to depend on others for our safety !!! We are where we are because we cannot score and our defence is shite .
if we go down it’s because we are just not good enough at this level ...
The league doesn’t lie !!!!

Norwich (a) - 0
Forest (h) - 1
Reading (h) - 1
Sheff Wed (a) - 1
Brentford (a)- 0
Luton (a) - 3
Coventry (h) - 1
Watford (h) - 0
Bristol City (a) - 1
Millwall (a) - 1
Wycombe (h) - 3
Huddersfield (a) - 1

I make that 42.

That's quite generous. Just 3 defeats in 12.

We need a meomntum shift.

Brum may get one from sacking ksrabka

We won't be doing that so need a performance and a win to shake things up. The 2ns half vs Norwich wasn't rly that good but st least we attacked a bit more. Yes Norwich probably let us but still. Let's take the game to whoever we playing and sooner or later get 3 pts on the board

Hopefully, having players back will help that momentum.

Nice to see the bench looking stronger.
