I doubt that, in his interview for the offal he sounded as surprised as anyone that we had signed him. I'm sure I read he was at Lewes on non contract terms and that we didn't pay a fee so it's no loss regardless.He signed for us nearly 2 months ago though.
Maybe he was expecting first team football or something.
I doubt it's a case of 'not being as good as people initially thought', not after two months. He'd have to be awful if that were the case and we certainly wouldn't have been as bold to put him on a 2yr contract with the option of a further year. Mistakes can be made in football but that would be a shocker. It could've been part of the deal as maybe we just wanted him with us for pre-season so he could get a feel for the standard, or like posters are mentioning, he's sorting personal matters.

I echo the posts above, on the face of it there’s something particularly odd about his signing. The player himself said he was surprised, people who watch Lewes were surprised and said he wasn’t even in their top 3 best players last season and now he’s back on loan at the club he came from
