Wow Gyo is some player, I backed him to do well this season but his performances are incredible. The strength and hold up play helps the team no end bringing others up the pitch. He's also started to add goals. Looks a bargain to me.

We really need to support him better when he gets the ball in those areas I think, he’s often there just battling by himself.

Great result, always worried about conceding so nice to see they can fluff chances as well as our boys. Defence very firm - thought Faz was a rock and covered as much ground as someone 10 years his junior. I would have wanted MR to start with Vic and Godden as looking through my tinted specs I want them to do well as a partnership, but glad the gaffer knows more than me and pleased for Wags, showed good strength and hopefully that will do his confidence some good.

Don't get why Vic was giving it the ears when he scored, thought he knew we all love him?

Well done City and also to the fans, good vibe we're getting now.

Sometimes players do the ear just to take in the applause and fans read too much into it. I think most of us are smitten with Gyo now.

This is a very very good win.

Forest, Reading and Blackpool aren't all that. Boro are good.

We're a good Championship side.

Love it

Is that the Blackpool who just beat Fulham, and Reading who drew with, and nearly beat QPR?
And who would have thought that Millwall would get a point a West Brom?

This is a tough division, with a lot of teams that are similar in standard. And so far, we are doing better than I hoped/expected.

Anybody can beat anybody. That’s why the division is so brilliant.

Those three will be in the bottom third though.

That wasn't a post-match interview for today, it's one they have recorded previously, and they just play it any/every time Boro lose

Absolutely brilliant today, again. We were there in Block 15, deafening support, everyone buzzing, watching a half-decent Championship team play some pretty good football and dominate a fairly accomplished Boro and remembering standing there watching some of the dross served up in our relegation season to League 2 in an atmosphere half pathetic half toxic. What Mark Robins has wrought with this club is nothing short of astonishing.

Who would you rather have, Robins or Warnock? If anyone says the latter they should perhaps follow a different sport

False equivalency, but Warnock has undoubtedly had a better career. Robins has been great for us and I’d rather have him than just about anyone as things stand.

I wanted to give it a few games.

But we look REALLY good. There's always a surprise package in the championship. I think its us this year.

We seem to have gotten rid of the amateur farting about mistakes of last season also

Warnock is one of the last of the Old Guard, in a similar mould to Ian Holloway, Harry Redknapp and Sam Allardyce. They speak their mind, don't care who they upset or offend and continue to get air time in the Media. His current results aren't the reason he's employed, its his presence and name that keeps getting jobs. As someone has mentioned, if Warnock gets sacked this time around, think he'll be put out to pasture.

Agree with this.

We were ok last year but shot ourselves in the foot. This year we're outplaying teams and not fucking up anywhere near as much.

So many of the stats have us in the top 6 of things as well so we could be a surprise package.

I'll reserve judgement until we've played a few of the top teams though. QPR still looked a level above last week.

You're right. Warnock is very much on a par with Harry Redknapp. They share Willie McKay among their closest associates

Warnock and McKay used to be friends but Sala tragedy has pushed them apart

The managers from that era had their sons involved in all sorts of opaque money making activity at whichever clubs they were managing

I thought we looked like a very classy side today and our performances have been very good so far. Feeling confident against Cardiff and if we can improve our away form, I think we could be a top 9 team.

Great day, great performance again, yet to see a bad one this season. So pleased that MR and AV have gone 2 up and attacking as the default style… it’s going to be so entertaining to watch even when we have a bad run.

Everyone worthy of a 7 or more but special mentions for Moore, Fadz, Dabs, Gus and Waggers. Gyo is a revelation so far - strong, quick and, it seems, lethal. Doesn’t seem to tire either which I presume is helped by his pedigree. Out of nowhere after last year he’s staking a claim to be our best player and one we could struggle to hold on to if he keeps this form up.

My 11 year old daughter’s first ST and foray into football. She thinks all out attack winning football is the norm for City and will never know the shite times we’ve had to endure first game she was lightly applauding the winner, today she nearly hit the CBS roof.

To be frank, I’m surprised he even took the Middlesbrough job because they weren't really looking strong before he came in.

I really rate Warnock, his resume speaks for itself and Middlesbrough would probably wouldn’t do as well without him.

He did a good job at steadying the ship when Woodgate left but I think they'd do better without him now. They have a good team.

Most of their fans want him gone.

What I have seen so far this season is a team that is fighting for each other, win or lose and deserves all the praise that is coming their way.
Something is stirring, this team is competItive
