Seems strange that we had one exciting week, with lots of new signings, 2 brilliant pre season friendlies with 13 goals scored, and now... nothing

Usual pre season or...?

@ ccfc92.....

No disrespect intended mate, but how can you call two mullerings of sunday league teams brilliant?
When the crunch came to the crunch, we were poor against very average teams.:thinking about:

Sorry mate, no disrespect, but two hammerings of sunday league teams, (In my books) doesn't rank a "Brilliant" rating.
We have got to up our game considerably "imo" just to keep out of the relegation scrap this season. There are dangerous teams in this league, and going on the Morecambe and Bury games last year of which we were given lessons in how to play football, we could be in for a reality shock.:thinking about:

They are not Sunday league teams.

And they are far from football league status as well mate. East Midland Counties League is not much above Cov and District Sunday league status. I can't see peoples logic in Praising results like these, in as much as we get stuffed and it's "Only a friendly"
Big shocks in store if we don't "Up our Game" mate!

Our best first 11 would beat killy and Nuneaton.

However a few injuries and then you are turning to these boys. That's where the game needs upping. The next two signings are so important.

Pre season is about fitness not results. A couple of seasons back we went unbeaten in pre season and were poor in the league. We haven't started our best 11 yet and I for one am optimistic about the season. PUSB!

Fair enough, I am not sure you will be missed on the terraces at Yeovil, etc. if your only contribution is to try to mug off the fellow fans of your Club.

why do people think we are still going to spend millions when we are in league one! No grasp of the current financial reality! I for one am impressed we have brought in that many players this year!

What Sunday league teams did we play? It's pre season, different tactics, trialists, youngsters. Won't bear much resemblance to Yeovil or after a month of the season when we have a settled team.

@ skybluesteve76...

The two teams we beat were not much more than pub teams at best, and well you know it. The minute we came up against a team that had an idea how to play football we got gubbed. SPL teams are no better than Championship level at best, but ICT had us in their pockets.
There are other posts saying the same as me, but as is usual with you, you have to pick on my posts.
I stay away from your posts....Do the same with mine. OK!

Who have we played in the East Midland Counties league? Have I missed something. We have played 1 Conference North, 1 Highland League, 2 SPL, 1 Blue Square Premier. You clearly have no clue about non-league football so don't comment about its standard.

@ mark82.....

You are correct, I pulled up the wrong Hinckley stats.
As for commenting about its standard, Hinckley finished 20th(Bottom) but were reprieved. Ross county(Promoted this year To SPL)
Nuneaton, 2 leagues below CCFC, yet "Smacked our a***s as we got booed off the pitch.
Brora Rangers fc, Amateur club who finished 16th of 18 teams in their league, and we could only put 5 goals past them?
ICL, being the only team of any class that we played on the road, and made us look extremely average.
Errr yeh, I won't make anymore comments on non league football again.

Agreed totally SBK, I just meant the "brilliant" was the fact of morale boosting for the squad and fans. I understand we were playing "lower" teams, but when we normally do, we win 1-0 if we are lucky. Thats what I meant, maybe a bad adjective, as brilliant is beating Man U 2-0 at Old Trafford
