Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has refused to confirm or deny reports that City are interested in Colchester full back Marc Tierney.
The City boss did however, say to the CT: "He's a very good player and I know Norwich are interested in him.
"But before I start making statements about who we're getting in, I have to make sure the deal is done - and we have not made contact with Colchester - if we were going to.
"I've got targets in mind, one or two options in one or two positions and we'll push on with those but it's not always easy to get people in - it takes time because there's manoeuvering to be done."
