I tend to avoid purposely viewing footage of things like this but the one video I've seen shows an older chap jumping on one of the gunmen and wrestling the weapon from him, imagine how many more lives were potentially saved by that act.

Judging by some of the victims names, it seems they were certainly targeting Jewish people. Motive however is still 'unclear'...
