Anybody know when it’s due?

As we’ve been hearing from so many people all this time the Ricoh is worth more with two teams playing in it. As we’re no longer there it should follow that it’s worth less and break the covenant yes?

Fingers crossed it’s soon! You’re right - I bet the covenants are very tight especially now we’re not involved.

It’s has to be a concern, having two teams playing in it doesn’t mean one of them has to be ccfc does it.

Hopefully no one but ccfc, but if St Andrews happens, still an if for me, and this covenant thingy is real as the OP states I’d rule nothing out.

The valuation would be conducted on a basis of a trading entity. If someone were to replace us they would have to be paying at least what we were in rent/service charges or the value will drop. The likelihood of this happening, especially at rather short notice, is very slim.

There is No one, not the first person I've heard alluding to the idea of a new tennant. though.
Even if there was, who's going to bring 10 thousand every fortnight?
Can't see the casino operators being happy.

Would be interesting to see how much Wasps made from 3 nights of Spice Girls appearances. If they keep up the big name alternative events (Bon Jovi in a couple of weeks), how much does that mitigate our not being there ?

There's always been these events though, so won't offset us not being there.

The logical thing to do is bring a Rugby League team down. There were rumours of them buying Widnes a while back.

Don’t Coventry already have a rugby league team? City of sport? More like city of franchising!

Yep. Playing (notionally) at the same level as CCFC. Must be so tempting.

A few brown envelopes to the right people will soon take care of that awkward detail.

Don't think that much money made from these events by the hosts, sure somebody a few years ago on this site who had knowledge of the business put some figures out a few years ago.

Besides, not too many people going to be going to an outdoor gig in the Winter!

How many other groups could fill the ground and how many concerts they are allowed, plus they have to cram them into a small period of time while the pitch is out of action.

They could get a rugby league team to add that to the other minority sports they have in netball and Rugby I can’t wait for the wasps tiddlywinks team to be brought in

These big names cost a lot of money and would think that the Income profits are not as big as we think they are

Nothing logical about that at all. Rugby league is far more football like in tribalism terms.

Nah, there's a far bigger history if trying to spread the game, and also franchising for that matter.

Isn’t rugby league in the summer? Would mean no concerts, monster trucks etc.

Yep, summer, but with a big overlap at both ends.
