Slightly disagree that the rivalry is forced and it feels to me anyway that it has organically been resurrected from the 70s. Am sure the anamosity will fade faster than most when we're in separate leagues

If you go on their forum, there are a lot of sensible posters and a lot of wums. No different to here, and if we think they've got wound up too easily, they could look on here and say the same. Their forum also thinks we will be in and around the play offs and a few would prefer MR to Jack Ross (who is not all that popular and will probably get the sack if they miss out this season). Kenny Jackett too, if Pompey don't turn their season around.

There are way more nut jobs on the Sunderland forum and there's also more overreaction with them, especially their fascination with opposition fans "hoying shit" and their superiority complex makes for utter delusion amongst posters.

Still, it's great forum for those exact reasons.

I have no issue with them, there were fans chucking shit from the top tier at the SOL so I can understand they are pissed off, okay they over egged the comments by far and all the JH stuff in the 70s is just hilarious. They are an extremely well backed club and shouldn’t be in league one but they will get it right this year.
