Bolton in dire financial straits - wonder if there will be a 12 point deduction?

From recent Premiership status to meltdown. Management shenanigans or incompetence methinks......

Bolton are in real, deep cack. That debt can't be manageable, surely?

Yes they in a total mess, unless debt is partly written off cant see how they can survive. But someone will bail them out.

Until a professional club goes out of existance then the cycle of spend and admin/bail out will continue.

Any other business and they would have gone to the wall, how long can this continue?

It would have to be extreme for a professional club to actually go out of business. It's true though that the likes of us and Pompey would have gone out of business years ago, were it any other sector.

A lot of the debt is to their owner. They are in the shit now as he won't keep funding their losses, which I think are running at £9m a year. However he is willing to write off £185m he's owed as part of any sale. Apparently he's already had about £10m out of the club in interest over the years and is looking to sell for around £20m but that's still £155m he will write off.

Shows how hard it will be for us to get rid of SISU. For £20m you'll get a virtually debt free Bolton who own their stadium (which has a hotel) and training ground. Unless you're a fan why would you even consider buying us?

There are several posters on here would claim that there would be plenty of interested buyers should Sisu decide to leave.

Really? Unless a fan wins the Euromillions rollover, that'll never happen, imo.

Sorry I still wouldn't buy the club if I won that, it's much easier this side of the fence

Do I remember correctly how some on here (Grendell) tried to tell us that nobody would buy the Ricoh?

Although I agree with you regards to Wasps being gifted it. It's worth remembering that alot of the same posters who were insisting that SISU were the only show in town were also insisting that the Ricoh was a worthless ugly concrete white elephant before doing a complete 180 and insisting that Wasps underpaid for this WORTHLESS ugly concrete white elephant. Nothing as queer as folk.

(edit) nothing else to add to that so if anyone is going to reply hoping to start an argument, err sorry discussion. Save your breath.
