Because the rules of meetings for the Trust say that correspondence addressed to the board has to be dealt with. Trust Secretary has to deal with it and put it to the board. If it is then ignored then there is proof it was sent to the trust. You can not prove someone read a particular post on a forum.

If people have time to type it on a forum it doesn't take great effort to cut and paste on an email to the trust board. Takes longer to post and complain on here that the Trust haven't considered the idea and others posted only on a forum
