We always said he would be the McFadzean replacement and he’s really grown into that figure this season.

If he was fit v Wrexham we’d still be unbeaten right now

Not an exaggeration to say he's well on the way to being a club legend if he stays here for a few more seasons

Agree and lasts said it would. Still improvement in him too and Kitching who aren't old at 24/25 for centre backs.

Agree totally. He has weaknesses but somehow he epitomises all that Frank wants from this side. The sum is far greater than the individual parts.

Think both him and Kitching have got steadily better as players. They have played together a lot and with confidence look a really strong pairing in the championship. They just need to keep listening keep good habits and both could play at a higher level.

By far my favourite player and I’ll admit, 13 games ago I was ok with selling him!!

He just heads, kicks and fights for everything

Thought he looked injured after 2 mins, sure he was stretching the calf! But from then on absolute warrior. And I have been very critical of him in previous seasons

I was going to say we don't lose the Wrexham game if we put last nights team out but I'd go as far to say just having Thomas playing would have been enough. A huge player for us.

Good to see him fit and getting stuck in, he's improved so much this season. Well desereved MOTM for him. Kitchen looks a lot more solid as well, maybe having a decent keeper helps.

In a lot of games lately the opposition seems to make progress into the final third pretty easily (imho) which places our defense under a lot of pressure. Is it the lack of bite in the midfield? we have two attacking wingers and while they work hard is this why we're often exposed? Grimes playing as a 4th,5th defender does that not cause issues with him being so deep?

Can say that about most of the starting 11 right now.

Torp has developed especially without Rudi in front
Wright, Dasliva, Saka, EMC have all made notable improvement. BTA is an entirely different human now.

I think something has fundamentally changed in the dressing room, be it Frank himself, having the right characters not just the right players, the coaching staff. Whatever it is, every one of our players has found a whole new level of confidence and that is allowing them to play so much more freely.

Don't worry, we're not selling anyone in January. I've been reading the squad value thread.

If Everton offered him 3 times his wages he'd want to go whether we look like going up or not.

If you look at the early days of our current defence, teams would target JDS with high balls. That has been stopped with improved form and Kitch aggressively attacking the first ball.
Thomas was the player that was least covered on the high press, as teams recognised his distribution was poor often resulting in loss of possession.
Bobby, like the whole team, has improved on his main weakness, namely his passing.
Very unlucky this season not to have more goals and assists. Is a beast in the opposition area.

Grimes definitely helps Thomas here a lot because it gives him a simple ‘out’ ball whenever he’s under pressure.

Kudos to Bobby, he’s certainly improved that area of his game and builds on great physical qualities he has.

But we won't want to sell right now, so we won't accept whatever fair market value may be. The only way I could see us being persuaded to sell is if it's an inflated sum we could use to change up: say get an equivalent in and buy a new left back.
