I never said he was lying it is your automatic assumption that I was considering Bob to have bad motives or to be lying, like I said the release of the documents has to have a motive good or bad, I just want to know what Bob hopes to achieve? If it helps CCFC then great if it doesn't then it may stop situations like our's happening again in the future within this sport which is also positive.

However the automatic assumption has to be that he is doing his job as an MP and that what he "wants" is CCFC back in Coventry and if there was dodgy dealing with regard to the admin process then it should come to light. Surely there's only doubt if there's evidence to the contrary.
Seen as his address is on those documents, I couldn't help but look up what Richardsons house looked like. Would have thought he would live somewhere a bit grander than this.

The focus of what Les Reid has reported on is efforts to bring CCFC back to Coventry. This latest news (if it is new information) isn't about that.
Surely the responsibility of his job is to report all local news, not just the bits he's personally interested in?
isn't he officially the polictics reporter? Given this story involves a local MP and a debate in parliment that must come under his remit although looking at his twitter he seems to preoccupied with getting people to go and protest outside the council house.

Responsibility is different to obligation.
you would have thought les would have sought an interview with bob as well to follow up the joy interview. seeing as he's an imparcial political reporter. bob may not have been able to give him exact details given whats coming to light, but he would have been able to print an alternative view from someone that matters and is in a position of authority.
And indeed they may well not have found that 7 months ago.
It's a simple thing to counter, and doesn't in any way stop the rest of their argument.
Oh and an alternative conspiracy view, also that letter goes on about there certainly being an intention to transfer things, but that the transfer never actually happened.
That hints at the potential for legal loopholes to me...

Watched this live on Internet Stream. Thought Bob Ainsworth and Jim Cunningham put there points across brilliantly. Geoff Robinson waffled and said nothing of value although Bob Ainsworth did have a "pop" at him! Thought the Minister bluffed her way through her comments ! Bob stressed that he thought a new independent Liquidator should now be appointed following Mr Appleton's "efforts" (which Bob criticised!) The "overlooking" of documents which had now come to light being one of his main reasons for this. Anyone else watch it ?
had another look, there's a story on the protest as the lead item on the website. No mention anywhere of the new documents revealed by Bob or the meeting in parliament, that doesn't even make the live feed thing. not being funny but they've managed to find time and space for "A greedy possum broke into a bakery in Australia and scoffed so many cakes it couldn't move." but don't report on CCFC being discussed in the parliament. The only time it's mentioned on the site is a footnote to another story!

Well it started when he claimed...On second thoughts I don't have parliamentary privilege so will keep it a light commentary. [That is part joke, part truthful, not sure any claims were made that could place myself at risk by repeating them but I don't like the idea of the stripey hole]
Ainsworth - was critical of SISU, PA, and the FL. He asked that PA step aside. Talked about it being a land grab and had nothing to do with football. He suggested that the FL need to be clearer. He did mention the protest at the Council today
Marcus Jones - success comes from greater stake in the stadium, all sides need to get round the table.
Ainsworth - agrees but states that figure talked of by fans is £7 Million which is a derisory offer. Says that SISU needs to pay for the stadium not be given it.
Geoffrey Robinson - said it was nice that Bob Ainsworth was taking an interest in the club again after so long not being interested, and did he think attacking Joy Seppala was helping anything.
Bob Ainsworth - replied by saying that Geoffrey Robinson was in a position at one stage with the club that has lead to where we are now. Has no problem with Joy Seppala, just does not believe she should be allowed to land grab for the benefit of her investors. If she was to make a real offer for the Stadium he would welcome it. Asked what attracted such owners to the game. Time to look at the insolvency laws in football.
Jim Cunningham - Thanked BA for covering many of the issues. Talked about cleaning of the Gaswork site costing about £16 Million. Stated the Stadium was built to regenerate the whole area. Said that Baginton was considered for the stadium at one stage. but ruled out. Lots of sharp practice which he wished not to comment on. Important thing was getting the Club back to Coventry. Wants an independent mediator to get involved. Not Impressed with Paul Appleton. The Football league needs to do something about the problems with football governance, maybe the government needs to step in and get them to do something. Football League needs reform. Finished by saying that there is a civil war going on in Coventry over this issue.
Helen Grant [think it was her I missed the name] - Preservation of football teams is important, and, football governance is important to the government. Asking the government to contact the FL [could have been FA, wife talked at me] to act as a mediator. At a time when TV money, sponsorship, and supporter numbers are increasing, it is surprising that the number of insolvency instances are up as well. Talked about the problem of debt in the game. Football league needs credit for all the things they are doing to change things. Answered Ainsworth on the questions he raised about Appleton by telling him to discuss it with the Football League. Previous Minister for Sport and Tourism may have not sent letter to the Football League on the issues raised by Ainsworth and Cunningham, It may have been done in conversation instead, so there may not be any answers for them. The Football League is wanting to get club back to Coventry but they say it is in the hands of the owners and the administrator to solve.
She then talked on about debt and football but little that could be applied to the situation with Coventry.
Oh and she wished us luck tonight.

* Coventry North east Labour MP Bob Ainsworth was this afternoon due to stage an adjournment debate in the Commons on “football governance and the situation at Coventry City Football Club.”
He has also released new internal papers dating back to 1995 showing more evidence of how key assets were historically located in CCFC Ltd, the company now in liquidation, despite claims by Sisu/Otium and Football League.
All fans’ campaign groups have united behind calls for an independent inquiry into all sides in the dispute and the historic background to it - including Sisu, the club, the council, ACL, the Football League and others.
I listened to Bob on CWR tonight- just after 6pm- I agreed with every word he said.
