Anything other than the vinegar strokes and you're a SISU apologist.

Are the documents original or copies?

I have read this whole thread but no one is coming up with a valid explanation as to why these documents will help us now? What's Bob Ainsworth hoping to achieve in all this, is he trying to oust SISU or helping the club return to the Ricoh? Because I can't see how he is going to achieve it.

I honestly can't see anything though. I can see a "There is no documentation our client can find that records transfer of assets in 1995"... while then showing assets transferred in 1995.

Not sure in itself it proves anything mind you. This is also 7 months ago, so maybe they found the documentation just as Ainsworth did! It does say investigations are ongoing, after all.

Surely the main point is that when clubs go into administration the administrator takes over the running of the club. Appleton was prevented from doing so and thus from properly being in a position to make thorough investigations because SISU claimed the club was in Holdings.

It is incument upon them to prove that the club was transferred back to Holdings otherwise they were deliberately perpetuating a deceit.

We are not Bob. Maybe ask him? What does it matter anyway? He is trying something at least.

Thanks don't know why I didn't think to pick up the phone and have a chat with him, I am sure he won't mind.

It matters because if you are doing anything in life their has to be motive, what's the motive?

I applaud him for that, however what do we know with all due respect what he is trying to do, how do we know it will benefit the club or the future of it?

Their letter does say for the past 5 years (as far back as investigations had gone at that point) everything was registered in Holdings.

Really not sure there's any smoking gun there. It is, as you'd expect, a letter full of vaguaries and caveats to offer ways out.

We don't know if anything we can do will benefit our club and it's future. But does this mean that none of us should try anything to help as we don't know for sure?

That's not something I said or implied as you can see from the first part of the post you quoted, I appluad what Bob Ainsworth is trying to do even though the motive isn't clear and I hope he is successful, but what does he expect the result to be?

In other words if you went through all this what would you be looking to achieve?

are you going to the protest outside the council house today? If so what do you hope to achieve?

If not - shut the fuck up, and appreciate other people are trying different things.

No I am not, but I am 175 miles away from the City working. If I could be there, then I most certainly would, what I would be trying to achieve? Simple getting the Football Club I have supported all my life back in the City of it's namesake and where it belongs.

I appreciate that other people are trying different things for our cause and never once said anything to the contrary, but maybe you should realise that before telling people to 'shut the fuck up' and have some respect.

There can’t be any doubt that these documents cast SISU in a very bad light. To describe them as utterly incompetent owners of a football club is probably the kindest compliment you could give them. Appleton would also appear to have serious questions to answer. I will be interested to read Voice of Reason’s take on this aspect as he has consistently expressed serious doubts about Appleton’s role.

Either way this is bad news for SISU and makes tonight’s protest even more irrelevant than it originally was.

Oh I almost forgot.

Happy Birthday Joy.

Ideally I would want it to be shown that SISU transferred the assets illegally from Ltd to Holdings.
I would want the law to move those assets back.
I would want the administrator to restart the process with the assets known and in Ltd.
I would want someone in favour with ACL to buy Ltd and the Ricoh Arena.
I would want someone at SISU to be accountable in law for the deception.
I would want the FL to transfer the golden share back to Ltd and award the 10 points deducted back to the club.

I see BA as the start of this process but someone needs to take up the Gauntlet .........

Like most of us on here I suspect, these documents are interesting, but we will all come up with a view on what difference they actually make.

Reading them myself, it appears that the Speechly letter seems to "counter" most things that come to light very well. It is clear on some things, and cloudy on others, blaming previous regimes for things that SISU may have got wrong. It is well constructed I think, (although the English is very poor at times) and sufficiently vague in places which may indicate "room" to wriggle free of any direct statements attributed to them by Bob or anyone else.

The thing is, I would like to understand (Like Rob) what the documents can achieve, if anything, so I cannot understand why you would abuse anyone who asks that question?

It also says that Fisher & Co, after a diligent search, could find no documentation to support that transfer of assets from Holdings to Limited took place in 1995 and then it appears out of the blue after all! No smoking gun eh?

And indeed they may well not have found that 7 months ago.

It's a simple thing to counter, and doesn't in any way stop the rest of their argument.

Oh and an alternative conspiracy view, also that letter goes on about there certainly being an intention to transfer things, but that the transfer never actually happened.

That hints at the potential for legal loopholes to me...

Hence why I asked the question about whether these documents were originals?

Where did Bob get them?

Have they been deliberately held back by somebody formerly involved with the club?

Held back? AFAIK these are the documents sent to Appleton and the Football League at the start of this thing?

As to where they came from, I'd imagine as quote a few board members were Coventrians at that time there are quite a few interested parties with access to them. Just because only Richardson and McGinnity's signatures on there doesn't mean they were the only people on the distribution list.

Assuming you're a constituent I'd imagine he'd pick up the call.

I hate this automatica assumption that all politicians must be lying. Bob is a decent guy and has CCFC at heart, he's also working on direction from his constituents here. Unless you have evidence of something else, I'd say that your baseless suspicion is harmful more than helpful.

I never said he was lying it is your automatic assumption that I was considering Bob to have bad motives or to be lying, like I said the release of the documents has to have a motive good or bad, I just want to know what Bob hopes to achieve? If it helps CCFC then great if it doesn't then it may stop situations like our's happening again in the future within this sport which is also positive.

If I had evidence I wouldn't of asked the question, would I?

Ah that would make sense. Would love to have seen the look on their face if they ever tried to realise £5.7m from that lot.

Is that normal practice to secure loans with specific players or is this more of Richardson's dodgy transfer dealing?

I wouldn't have thought this loan was something the charity commission would be that keen on. So I would suspect that this was done to satisfy them that the money wasn't being lent unsecured, rather than anything dodgy with BR. Could be wrong though as my understanding of these things is very basic at best.

As an aside (and I need to make clear here I'm not linking this particular loan to my next comment, for those watching and reading!!) it'd be nice to have a look into the Newmarket schemes set up to buy players, how CCFC Ltd. and Holdings worked there (the solicitor's letter acknowledges registrations in Ltd. when player trading rules were very different to now) and what profits and losses were made by those lending the money...

Would there be anyone still at the club and would have access to this kind of thing who is not in someway tied to SISU? If there's not and it's someone no longer there it makes me wonder why they felt the need to retain copies, the only reason I can think of is that they suspected something wasn't quite right long before we went into administration.

Could the 'whistleblower' have had these documents long? Could the CCC/ACL strategy to oust sisu have been based on those documents?
I really can't wait to read the book and see the movie.
