Block 9 (11 Viewers)

Looks like Watford is going to sell out shortly and block 9 is going to be empty again as Watford still have loads left in block 8.

Surely they can sort this out as there is so long to go this season.

I do hate seeing unused seats anywhere when something is supposed to be 'sold out'

Thought that on Saturday, we could of had right up to the segregation fence as Blackburn had an empty block. A wasted opportunity to sell more tickets

Don't you have to allow 10% for away supporters? That would be 3,261?

How many do we allocate at the moment, is there much scope to open up more blocks to home supporters even if you ignore the need to reconfigure the concourse.

Prem rules state min of 10% of capacity or 3000 whichever is lower must be made available.
Think Championship is 2000.

However we should be able to say to whichever club it may be do you want the full whack or a portion of that and then move the segregation to suit.

Birmingham only give 2000 in a stadium of 29,000.

Doubt we're going to change something to then have to change it back next year!

There isn’t really anything to change though. That segregation fence is movable, so when it’s a low away crowd they should just move it over so that most of block 9 will be on the home side

what about the concourse? if you move the fence do you have to change the setup in there?

I'm guessing its not as simple as that. Kings is pretty on the case with anything that can make money so I doubt he's leaving a whole block empty that could be sold.

There is no point for half a season as we're gonna win the league and in the prem next season we have to give 3K allocation.

It’s 3k min but if capacity is less than 30,000 it is 10%.

segregation can also come out of the away ticket allocation.

It's not

3.3 The visiting Club shall have the right to claim 2,000 tickets for use by its supporters (or such number as represents 10% of all tickets reserved or otherwise sold in advance, if less than 2,000). The following conditions shall apply: 3.3.1 unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing, all tickets shall be on sale or return basis; 3.3.2 payments for tickets sold by a visiting Club together with details of tickets sold and the return of unsold tickets, must be made to the Home Club within four days of the date of the match; and 3.3.3 a minimum of 10% of the total disabled spectator accommodation must be made available to disabled supporters of the visiting Club.

Home fans are already using the stairwell between blocks 9 & 10, so from an access point of view it wouldn’t make a difference.

The only possible thing I can think of that would cause a problem is if you have to have so much concourse space per supporter. But given how cramped some of the older grounds are, I can’t see that we’d fall foul of that
