Well no that's not how it works... if someone pays for a SEAT then they expect to sit

The only thing that will sort it out is safe standing but until that happens at every ground in the country there is an area where you can't expect to sit.

It's all good saying that but when you have an old person behind you who can't stand, so you have to sit and then you have someone in front of you standing it's not really fair. Everyone sitting is the only fair thing.
Personally prefer standing, which is why I much prefer away games but can understand why people main about it

If your old and can't stand then what the bloody hell are you buying tickets for block 14 and 15 for in the 1st place?!?!

At away games it is difficult if you want to sit down. When the allocation is completely taken you usually have no choice but to stand anywhere but the front row.

What a really bad and selfish attitude you have, my old dad is 85 and I'm sure you wouldn't block his view would you?

I wouldn’t. equally your dad would be sensible enough not to go to the small part of the ground where fans stand would he?

Usually we go as an extended family, and our season tickets aren't in that part, I was speaking in general LG

Well no because you pay for a seat, and you aren’t meant to stand in the stadium seems like a very sore point for you...

Not so sure the point you're trying to make... everyone knows this is an unofficial "standing area", the same as you get in 99% of all grounds. Would you have bought a ticket in the West Terrace and complained about people standing?

Yes you pay for a seat, but you also know the score when you buy a ticket in a particular area. I have more sympathy with the comments that people are forced to stand at an away game, as they often can't choose where to sit.... but again it's common knowledge that you may well be standing, and although there is a healthy contingent of clowns at away matches, usually you could find someone willing to swap so you can go in a more "sittable" area.

Let's face it, there's nearly the whole Ricoh to choose from... why buy a ticket in the standing area when you can sit in the other 99% of the ground.

So you sit down so the old man behind you can see. Then you end up looking at some fat man's crack the whole game

Not quite a sore point as I don't sit in block 15.
My seats are on the half way line as I much prefer the view (back row though so I can stand up).
Just making a point that you can't sit in 14/15 and moan about not being able to see for people standing up! It's not a secret that people stand up in the corner. So if you want to sit down. Don't sit there. Choose from any one of the other 10 blocks that are open and for SITTING down.
In terms of you've paid for a "seat"!!! What a bullshit argument. I have paid for that seat yes. And what I do in that 1m2 area is up to me. If I stand, sit, do handstands or juggle fire, if I ain't encroaching your area or touching you then what I do in my area is my business and nobody else's.

I know that if I go away then , despite being 75 with knees that are getting dodgy, I have to stand. That's just respecting the culture. For that reason I wouldn't buy a ticket in 14/15.
And for that same reason I don't expect people who come into B23 after half time to stand every time there's a bit of action, and use abusive language. There are children there.
And having paid extra to sit in the second tier at Wembley I certainly don't want people standing in front of me. There's no need to.
Respecting and conforming to the culture cuts both ways

Only go to occasional away games, and haven't been to any yet this season.

The only reason I pay for a seat and stand is I can't pay to have floor space without a bloody seat in the way.

This is a main reason I have enjoyed away games for several years now. Many grounds we go to have somewhere you can stand. Bloody fantastic.

If we lived in a world where common sense was applied you'd get a warning when buying in 14 or 15 that people are likely to stand. Of course the club aren't allowed to do that so you run the risk of a casual fan who rarely, if ever, goes to games buying a ticket to sit there.
