The Sky Blue Trust has teamed up with Coventry Blaze for this Sunday's game against Braehead. Just £10 for adults and £5 for kids. Book by emailing sarahhancock@coventryblaze.co.uk by 5pm this Friday. Show your KCIC wristband on arrival. A resounding 4-1 win against Sheffield last night btw!

Yet the Blaze are currently the best supported sports club in Coventry & Warwickshire.

I shall be there.

Why are you not trying to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the club rather than dreaming up initiatives for people to attend other sports?

Because according to Tim Fisher "The Sky Blue Trust are lions who are led by Donkeys and have no leadership".

The trusts support to get 10 points docked and the failed coup to install Haskell I would imagine.

I see, a pretty disastrous decision made by the leaders, not only damaging their relationship with the club but also pretty much quashing any future fan participation in club decisions. Interesting that he used Lions in his analogy and firmly pointed the finger of blame at the leadership...

Some people just need to find something else to do while this Sisue enabled farce continues.
I afraid The SB Trust, ACL, CCC me, you, The FA, The FL and Uncle Tom Cobley can do absolutely nothing until Sisue have exhausted their hedge fund toolbox.

All we can do is continue to show our disapproval of Sisue tactics by not attending Sixfields.

It's not everyone's cup of tea. Same as football, tennis, rugby (both codes), basketball, cricket, snooker, darts, Motorsport (2 & 4) ect ect ect.

We all have our preferences on what's good and what's bad. Personally I'll watch any sport live or on tele. They all have their charms to me. For others it's just one or nothing.

Whilst CCFC are away, for those that choose not to travel to Northampton (and those that do for that matter) what's the harm in supporting the local sides that have proudly represented and brought great success to our city? Lets assist them in being bigger and better in the future.

Question for CJ - I'm a trust member but don't have a wristband, does the offer still extend to me?

Always good to see a Coventry team play in front of a loud, full Arena.

Ice Hockey isn't a USA invented game.

Normal Hockey was invented here, Ice Hockey was then developed by British Soldiers stationed in Canada by trying to play Hockey on a frozen lake.

Is it just coincidence that the most hardcore SISU haters for moving our club etc want to go and support a Franchise Team that has been moved? Is it just for something else to do or to prove a point?

Its the topic of the thread FFS and my Grandson is interested.
Perhaps ... isn't it funny how Sisue lovers don't contribute to the thread.

You're right, if we can get them a bit more success then a bigger city may be interested in them and they could move there.

Coventry, the home of Franchise Sport supporters.

Next thing you know they will change their name from "Coventry Blaze" to "Coventry City Ice Hockey Club"

IM LIVID!!!!

It is quite ironic that people are moaning about this "franchise" yet go and support Coventry in Northampton. The mind boggles! Anyway, back to topic ....

Great Idea! I hope people get up there and support the blaze, as it is quite fun to watch and get involved! If I get chance I will certainly try and pop up there!

I don't think anybody is moaning about the franchise situation, I know I'm not personally fussed.

In terms of entertainment, it is a pretty good night at the Blaze having a beer and watching. It is only good if there are plenty of fights though.

If you can walk you can play football (Ala Eastwood?)
Standing on ice is difficult, holding a stick and trying to hit something is another thing.

isn't this just the sort of post that increases division amongst fans?

None of us support the franchising of sports teams, so who is this aimed at?

It's not just a Trust thing. We had this offer sent to my son and all the kids that play for Warwick Juniors footy team. I'll probably take him.

The Trust, I guess. Who are promoting going to watch a franchise team? Mad really, where does it end, eh?
