I was sitting closest to it, block 15
And there was no way on this earth that should have been a corner, the ball comes in murphy has two clear hands on the ball and then a blackpool player comes in and knocks it straight out of his hand!

Poor showing again by the ref and why wasn't the blackpool man taken off when he was on the ground!

Over all though I'm pretty pleased

Ive just posted on another post that push or no push, he should have dealt with the final corner!

I sit in CET so couldnt tell whether it was or wasnt a push, but still, the whole team need to learn to play to the whistle! You will get decisions against you, but these shouldnt make you stop!

All in all, i am pleased! I did think we would never get 1 goal, let alone 2 with the way we were playing, so made the most of it with the celebrations :p I now have to go to work tomorrow with no voice, but im not complaining!

tbh I am just happy we got a point as I thought we were dreadful for most of the game, obviously going into stoppages in the lead you are dissapointed if you don't win but we didn't deserve to anyway.

I guess we can all talk about this once the highlights are available.

we must be the unluckiest club in the world because there is always a hard luck story for our demise :D

Just watched the goals on Sky Sports News. From their angle it looked like Murphy came for the ball through a mass of players & got nowhere near it.

Yea the OP is referring to an incident which resulted in the corner, Murphy had clearly caught the ball and was knocked by a blackpool player causing him to lose control of the ball.
Sorry if you already knew what he was referring too just making sure we are all clear here.

Ahh my mistake, heard a lot of people on the way to the pub saying he was fouled from the resulting corner.

But if he was knocked that's a foul?
Still think it looked as if it was knocked out of his hand.

Starting to show why he was at Scunthorpe for so long me thinks!

And why they weren't fussed when he left :whistle::whistle:.

I don't recall Mercia getting up in arms over the corner, think one might have mentioned it briefly that it should have been a foul but they weren't screaming at the ref like Cov & War used to on the little things.
Haven't seen the goals, was working till 8 tonight so just listened on sky blue player.. My ears are still ringing from their screaming. Happy with a point though since i didn't expect us to get anything from the match before a ball was even kicked. Its just annoying the way we lost the other two.. But c'est la vie.
