We are now a win from top and you can sense there is now genuine optimism in the sky blue air.

We have seen for 'occasion' games we can fill the Ricoh, I would not expect that right now, but seeing Sheff Utd get 19k this weekend, I see no reason why we cant start getting 16k +

We are unbeaten at home 3 point off top with a game in hand, if you ever desired to watch a winning exciting CCFC team this is the closest thing we have had in a a few years.

I get NOPM they have the clubs best interests at heart, more so than owners probably. However sports clubs across the world have dubious owners and in some cases much worse than anything we have witnessed.

SISU have brought in TM that for me shows huge L1 ambition and for that reason I am not sure why the NOPM embers still need to burn?

I really think now is the time for us to go the extra mile to support the team and persuade the occasional fans to come as often as they can.

A lot of people just can't be arsed anymore.

Many factors contribute to this from moving us to Northampton (people found other things to do), the fact we're league 1, the owners, the expense (yes cheap tickets but then include taxis, day on the piss etc.) and years and years of constant disappointment!!

The more we keep winning, the more fans that will start to creep back and if we get within a sniff of promotion the place will be packed. Unfortunately, a few wins in league 1 and hearing that we are playing great football isn't currently enough to change peoples mindset.

It is changing people's mindset
slowly. We are getting 11000 at home compared to 7-8000 last year. Away crowds are also bigger. If current performances continue I can see gates gradually sneaking up to 14-16000 afterjanuary.

The knock on affect from Sixfields is bigger than fans imagine, the fact we have clawed about 4000 back is a bonus. We seem to have a regular hard core now of about 10000, to increase that by 50% is going to be very difficult, but we are getting above Waggott's 11000 minimum requirement so not all bad.

I think in reality you might push to about 13,000 with a full house for the occasion game that decides something. I know a lot of people who have drifted away over the last 10 years and wouldn't even go to an occasion game. Just lost interest and decided football isn't the be all and end all. Probably 14 out of 20 of the old gang

I know lots of old die hards who just don't bother anymore, yes they follow the results as eagerly as anyone, watch us on telly and a lot did go to the Gillingham match more as a thing they had to do but Fisher and friends did massive almost unrepairable damage to our infrustructure with going to Northampton and arei still proposing to take the club out of Coventry as if in difience more than anything

Out of curiosity what is the current capacity with the North stand closed ?

You only have. To listen and watch what our insect friends do on local media and advertising around the city to see how we could increase crowds. Unfortunately the insects are current an infestation and taken people away from our club. We hust need to find a good exterminator

Tony Mowbray is the Wasps exterminator hopefully, listening to cwr one of these horrible buzzing adverts came up during our coverage do these people have no shame? I assume that during the pests coverage they are having to listen about the next Sky Blues game.

What we need to do is keep near the top and winning and hope they start losing and drop to the bottom as although some just go for the love if the game many must be glory hunters who will soon get bored of not winning.

I think most who go to Wasp games are rugby people very few converts from footie the catchment area for them includes the whole West Midlands as there are no other premier rugby teams in that area.

No advertising on the bbc but this is a blatant advert they are putting on, it's hard enough listening to football on the radio so god only knows what it is like listening to that shit on there.

I know a couple who have and one was an ex season ticket holder and away traveller but Northampton finished him off.

I don't care about wasps. We need a positive message and we can start to ignore them. For instance if you get the message out that the ticket sales are excellent and they are expecting to open another area people get on the bandwagon very quickly.
Doesn't have to be a lie either. For instance marketing could start now by saying that they are expecting a big crowd so they have opened an extra till or something or family tickets at £30 for an adult and up to 3 kids. You know what I mean.

So are you saying that our gates are so low because Wasps advertise? So not only do thousands turn their backs on CCFC but football as well and start watching a sport they never did before?

We could try being realistic. It started with Richardson. When SISU took over we were averaging over 20k in the Championship. But we still got the normal relegation battles. Supporters taken for granted. Attendances kept getting lower. Then Northampton happened. We lost lots of supporters then. We came home. We then had supporters that had a STH who stopped going because the product was so poor under SP. We have had so many false dawns that more is needed than tickets £2 cheaper.

If we had played our game in hand and won by 2 goals we would be top. This would make a difference. But whatever happens we have supporters that will not come back with SISU in charge. But this will change for many with a bit of success. Thousands of our supporters have seen nothing but failure.

I would suggest that around about 14k would be capacity including the main stand. Vs Southend we had 13k and there were still quite a few seats free dotted around.

Can't blame people at the time, that man in the opposition dugout yesterday nearly drove me to giving up my ST this season had he still been in charge with us being in L2 of course.

TM already picked up the same amount of win in 24 games as SP did in his last 55 & I would imagine TM's City has probably had more shots on goal in that time than SP's as well.

Not sure that the Sixfields move has had that big an impact. The current average exceeds the pre Sixfields L1 average or at least equals.

Maybe - although it doesn't take a genius to realise that it was a tipping point for some and we will have lost quite a few who will have had the habit broken (meeting mates, changed seats , new habits etc)

Agree. I think the Sixfields factor has disappeared for the vast majority. Keep a winning team and over a prolonged period in the promotion zone and the crowds will return slowly and surely. The Boxing Day fixture will be a good measure.

In the paper today it says Blackpools new manager is leaving to go and be Sam Allardyces assistant at Sunderland.Neil McDonald is turning things around at Blackpool with three straight wins,so that'll be another kick in the teeth for the Blackpool fans who also have a dodgy owner.So they may come to the Ricoh managerless.

I still think we have to be careful against Blackpool. We nearly paid the price for underestimating Southend. I'm sure TM will drill it into the players that we are winning and need to keep doing so.
