I was seriously pissed off with Rushworths kicking yesterday, kicking it straight to their keeper, kicking it out of play to the right and left on numerous occasions to gift the ball back to the opposition but he did make a good save to push it round the post, our passing was quite poor all round at times but we ground out a win and march on undefeated, top of the league +22 goal difference, its a great time to support the mighty Sky Blues

Thought Grimes was MOTM by some distance - an indifferent first half like the rest of the team, but he completely seized control of the game after that. I had my concerns over whether he had enough of a winners’ mentality but he’s taking the side to another level.

Grimes our motm…mops up, calm, considered and always in the right position.

BTA is a transformed player…no longer a frustrating figure but an integral team member.

Rushworth great as a stopper but kicking yesterday was Wilsonesque.

Torp I thought was unfit first half and thought he carrying an injury but after he scored much improved.

Subs…all did a job and we didn’t look any worse when they came on.

Not the best performance but if you can win games like that (first half second best and second half v comfortable without being exciting) you have a great chance. The sort of game we would have drawn or lost 1-0 in the past.

A shout out for EMC. Not at 100% in terms of the final ball but is a menace on the counter with the pace to burn most full backs in this division. Has a big future with us. Love watching him play.

Andrews +1 for the run at the end. He’s a proper athlete. Good future ahead of him.

I missed those few seconds because someone in my block decided it was a perfect time to leave early, shuffling along the row and forcing everyone to stand up and let him out. At least wait for a break in play

Its all about opinions I guess, but I thought he was poor yesterday. He had a decent effort in the first 5 minutes, but failed to deliver after that, and was guilty of not tracking his man back on numerous occasions, and when that happens JDS is left woefully exposed and is made to look shit.

He looks good when put through into space with time to run with the ball, but defensively we look weak down our left side when he plays. Im not saying he should be dropped, but there is definitely room for improvement defensively.

Yeah, can't understand some of the negative remarks about him on this thread. A very good player, and I imagine highly valued by Lampard.

actually agree with all of the above Fatso - but we have a real player there and with the high class coaching team in place - we'll see a more complete player as we move forward.

Hes definitely got bags of ability. And if Frank can work on his defensive side and get that extra 10% out of him. he will be some player.

We also need to keep him fit, as there's no natural cover for him. (Other than BTA who is filling in everywhere at the moment)

His willingness to just drive forward is great
Puts the opposition completely on the backfoot
Caused both goals driving forward
