Dovin motm.
Bidwell, allen and Torp did well
Both strikers scored

Credit to lampard, he made decent tactical changes that nullified everything they tried and put us back on the front foot.

Bit like Saturday with the midfield starting slowly but really get into it.

Subs response worked a treat.

Dovin and Allen MOTM.

Honourable mentions Simms, Torp and Kitching.

Glimpses of the real MVE returning too.

Dovin game of his life. Simms made a nuisance of himself and great to see him score.
Bidwell and Allen solid and just never stop performing

I actually think MVE did well today too, he looked to clear one off the line and looked confident going forwards for once

What on Earth was Dovin doing on the bench all that time earlier in the season? He's won us plenty of points already and kept us in it first half tonight too.

Sometimes you have to take a young kid out of the firing line.

Don't re write history, he was making poor mistakes and decisions which cost him his place

Dovin brilliant
Simms looks a proper striker
BTA great energy and gives us something.

Wasn’t particularly pretty to watch but exactly how to play that tonight. Great win and actually looking up the table. PUSB

Dovin MOTM . Early saves made the difference. Still find it astounding that he hasn't automatically started every game when fit .
Great performances from Kitching & Bidwell. We have 2 defenders not to be messed with. MVE looked rejuvenated when Tats came on
Torp growing under Lampard , Allen grew into the game .
Great to see Simms get his goal .

All I remember at the time in terms of mistakes was his lapse pass against QPR, was it?

We don't know what goes on behind the scenes but I think it was generally going against what's normal in football and goalkeeping to have dropped him at that point.

What mistakes?

I wouldn't even put the QPR one down as a massive mistake on his part, the guy totally mishit it into the ground.

I'm not sure he really did much wrong elsewhere, did he?

I'm not calling out Lampard here... but his decision to pick Collins over Dovin is looking more and more bemusing by the game. No offense to Collins but Dovin is class. May be my new favourite player.

What a difference a good keeper makes. Motm. Closely followed by Allen, Kitching and Latibeaudiere. Much more if a team display.

Can only assume he just didn't want to change too much at once but he really should never have kept his place.

Dovin - 9
Bidwell - 7
Lati - 7
Binks - 6
Kitching - 7
MVE - 7
Allen - 8
Torp - 7
Rudoni - 7
BTA - 7
Simms - 7

Good, largely solid away performance that. Few times we got cut open too easily but overall we looked relatively assured and this hopefully boosts confidence again.

I was surprised Eustace took Dolan off as he looked like he was causing us problems. Switch to 5-4-1 worked well to help us see the game out.

I assume he went with the team in place when he arrived and then looked at players and made changes.

Same with kitching

There were some outstanding performances. Namely Dovin, Allen, Torp, and Bidwell. I've probably missed some.

The big thing for me though, is that we looked like a team today. There was belief, hard work, and we looked genuinely like we really wanted to win it at all costs.

Good subs as well, but I'm wondering if we've now started a momentum train. Let's hope so. Well played lads.

Well hell yeah that goes without saying

But the reality is young kids have to be taken out of the team now and then when confidence goes. And his was shot, it was obvious.

He's come back an absolute monster and I love it. I only wish Lampard had brought him back that horrendous Portsmouth match cuz we'd have win that no doubt with Dovin in goal

You wouldn't be this much of a twat in person either. You've made light of mental illness and gambling problems enough times over the years for me to judge your character, and you're the only one on this forum continuing to hound me on it.

So yes I would tell you to fuck off both on here and in reality if that's the way you spoke to me. Leave me alone from now on please.
