I watched him closely tonight and his work rate was immense, he closed players down, covered his team mates when they were pulled out of position, broke Blackburns play up, and kept us moving forward with simple play. M.O.M imo.
Eccles was outstanding tonight alongside Sheaf who is way off match fit but he held that midfield together .8s all over bar 9 for Eccles motm
