coldest I remember at the Ricoh I think was against Crewe 1-1 draw
a night game had been snowing and was well below freezing
Doyle had been sent off - Page went off injured after having used 3 subs and then there was an issue with one of our injured players (Duffy?) not being allowed back onto the pitch after they had gone off for treatment - so we were effectively playing with 8 players only for Crewe to equalise well into stoppage time

just looked 28 December 2005 - looking at the temp state for that day was around -5 C without the windchill

I went to the Norwich away game where we had dozens of coaches on a midweek fixture, I think the club may have paid for them or heavily subsidised them. I think it was a cup game?

it was 1973 and a horrible day all said and done and a pathetic end of season thereafter including a 3-0:drubbing at St Andrews the next week with less than 500 fans there.

We played Oldham twice in a season midweek maybe in 93/94, drew 1-1 in league and lost 2 or 3-0 in league cup and Wegerle was sent off. CCFC put on loads of coaches for cup game at a reduced price and the driver of the 1 I was on thought Oldham was near Liverpool until I told him he was going the wrong way!! It's always cold at Boundary Park, I think it is highest above sea level English ground.

It's the second highest, strangely enough the Hawthorns is the highest.

Boundary Park is really exposed though, I lived not too far away from there for 12 years. It was always at least 2c cooler in Oldham 8 miles away than it was in Manchester city centre.

Coldest was Stoke City . My son played against Stoke in the morning , in the same team as James Collins (there's a claim to fame) and we all went on the watch Stoke v Cov in the afternoon. Coldest day of my life but rewarded by Jay Bothroyd having his best game ever in a Cov shirt.

I cant see us passing this extra 1000 full stop. Anywhere close to 3700 is still brilliant though considering where it is.

The MK Dons hockey stadium game is about as cold as I remember being at. Don't think it was the cold temperature in itself, but rather the biting Arctic wind that did for us that day.

Was just about to post that! It was freezing, certainly the coldest I remember and I've never seen so many fans huddling together for warmth. Felt like an ice hockey stadium.

Unfortunately changing at Preston, didn't know we could go via Manchester and would have preferred that for a couple of beers first.

I remember that one. He wouldn't let Duffy back on for an age even though he was screaming at him. Must have been on the sideline for at least 5 minutes ready to come back.

I remember standing on the open terrace at Burnden Park against Bolton in the mid 90s. It was New Year iirc, think we won too, and I remember being as cold as I have ever been at a game of football. Patches of ice all over the terracing. Proper ground though.

Always find Barnsley cold with the wind coming through the gap. Even felt cold earlier this season when it was warm.

That was the coldest game I can remember being at. My sons mate decided to get a bottle of coke at half time like he always did. It didn't register with him that he could have a hot drink instead.
Another that was really cold was away vs Sunderland in the early 90's. It was December/January (and there weren't more than a couple of hundred city fans there).
