Stanfield could play.

He only has a dead leg, the scans having confirmed that he has no bone or ligament damage. All that Chris Davies has said is that "it's a little bit uncertain" as to whether he will play, but no doubt he is keeping his cards close to his chest.

Dead legs don't normally keep a player out for long although, having said that, wasn't Eccles out for 8 or 9 games with one at the start of this season or have I dreamt that?

he had a bone spur I think

Eccles got one v Sunderland in the play off second leg but there was some strange complication, bruising to the bone or something.

Josh Eccles: Coventry midfielder has 'extra bone' in his leg

Coventry's Josh Eccles says an injury in the play-offs at Sunderland resulted in an extra bone growing in his leg.
www.bbc.co.uk

Think he's a bit confused on the medical terminology - "extra bone" lol

Pretty sure that was what a few were saying when the Charlton line up was announced.

According their manager Stanfield missed the last game with a dead leg but has a chance of being back for our game

Sounds like a small chance mind you. Dead leg can turn into a nightmare sometimes, can be a massively varied length of time.

Thought he was pretty decent when he came on against Charlton tbh. Looked better than he has for a few weeks.

Yeah, though part of that was the contrast with the player he replaced

Think Frank saw what Ipswich did by resting players the game before ours and did the same hoping to grind out the win, came away with a draw but he has the key players rested for this game and we take advantage and win.

Need Saka back on his game and Rudoni on his game too.

Get top performances out of EMC, Saka and Rudoni and we should have an excellent chance of taking all 3 points.

Kyogo to score against us, as Doug is forced to release another strongly worded letter as to why everyone left the away section immediately afterwards.

Tough game and think Birmingham will be well up for it, but we should have more than enough to beat them.
0-2 win, with Haji getting one

Pressures all on them for this one, prob their managers last game if they lose, early goal and back to how we should be playing, 3-1

Rushworth

van Ewijk - Thomas - Kitching - Dasilva

Grimes - Eccles

Sakamoto - Rudoni - Mason-Clark

Simms

With the attacking 3 behind Simms having a rest they should be sharp for this game and I expect us to put in a better attacking showing, time for Haji to get a rest and taken out of the firing line and let Simms shine, Torp wont be fit so I’d rather see Eccles rather than Allen partnering Grimes, Dasilva straight back into the starting lineup

We always drive, usually parking in that Asda by the ground using a parking app. Safe there but takes more than an hour to get out. We're going on the train on Sunday, much easier. Not sure why we've not done that before. One of my neighbours is a Blues' STH and he always goes on the train.

Quite a few park in Solihull and get the train from there. A lot less chance of getting your car ripped apart in Solihull too

I've been really disappointed with performances for a while now, I appreciate it's a lot to do with number of games, etc but I actually don't think the Charlton game was just about that. Charlton were unchanged from their game a few days before...

I think we desperately need a break, funnily enough an Int break right now would be great haha. It's almost more mental than physical, there is no rest or escape from it for the players and staff.

Birmingham will want this period over as much as us, so I think we just need to attack it and let the players know that a break and help is incoming.

I can't see us winning, can't put my finger on why as Brum have been awful recently. I'll go another draw, either 0-0 or 2-2, we really need to start taking our chances again!

Also worth noting if anybody is driving over

Be very careful where you leave your car - It is rife at the minute in that particular area of Birmingham for cars parked whilst the football is on to be stripped of their parts by local scruffs

It's a hot topic amongst Blues fans at the minute as it seems to be happening nearly every week and the police seem to have zero interest in doing more than the bare minimum to stamp it out

In fairness I agree, it is a non starter driving into Birmingham in any context at the minute, the city has become pretty much inaccessible by car and I try to avoid doing it at all costs

To be fair I drove there when we were there without any problem in streets around the ground.
Mind you these were afternoon games.
Sometimes parked in a safe area 10 minutes walk away but cant remember what the car park is caaled sorry but it was always safe
Might have been called Birmingham Wheels

I know this is usually used as an insult, but I think they will really see this as their cup final. They will be up for it. We need to be also.
