They are claiming that it's not Birmingham City fc that is in administration so do not expect to get a 10 point deduction. Will be interested to see what SISU say about that to the FL

I think in this instance 'being run by administrators' and 'being in administration' are 2 different things.

As I understood it they've brought in a 3rd party to run the club because their board is split down the middle & no important decisions can be made.

I doubt SISU will care. Also I doubt Blues will get away with it. Too similar to Southampton.

They are in receivership i think what ever that means in business.

If the FL rules it to be an insolvency failure they can deduct -10 whether they are in administration or not I think

It's not Birmingham it's a parent company in admin isn't it so they will still be deducted 10 points surely? Only fair if we did?

Yes, I agree if our mix/match companies were split but we still for -10, so should they.

Their owners are corrupt (and that's a fact; just look at the where about of Carson Yeoung

Interesting they turned down a 5 million pound offer for a player in the window.

Same with Southampton, it was the parent company and they got a points deduction. Don't see any way they are getting out of this but then we all know the FL make it up as they go along.

Yes it wouldn't surprise me if the football league made it up. Southampton and us have tried it and it doesn't work. Or t shouldn't work. We originally appealed (surprise surprise) but they soon realized they couldn't win this one. The football league stood up to them for once but they had to.

As said above surprised they turned down 4-5m for gray. Just shows you it isn't money it obviously benefits the owners to go into admin and take the ten point hit while they are safe and get rid of half the debts or more. That's the point to it I gather under a cva that got rejected for us but 9-10 times its accepted obviously ccfc are the odd case as always.

Would be a(nother) slap in the face if they did get away with it. Whilst I don't like the thought of any team going into administration the same rules have to apply to everyone and if we had 10points deducted so should they. I hope that they know where the Golden Share is.

Joy has no limits when we look to the sky.

I guess the FL will rule whether this is a situation that merits a points deduction, but going by the Blue Nose's statements, they are trying to avoid a penalty.

Amazing really when you think that he was playing part-time at skint Hinckley in the Conference North just a few season's ago and you could have picked him up for nothing. When did we last spot a "non-league gem" like that? Do we have to go back to the Busst/Pearce/Flynn era?

Everyone tries that's why they say their "parent" company has gone into admin.

So yes while factually the blues spokesman is right and Birmingham fc aren't in admin their parent company is and whilst they are hoping this will avoid a points deduction it shouldn't matter as us and Leeds and Southampton have all tried the same trick and it never works.

They want the debts wiped off its not about the money in. They have sellable assets such as gray. He didn't leave. Depends if the Koreans want to pull the plug in the summer or not.

Ours normally go the other way. The conference gets our little gems.

    Nah, I didn't ;)

I wanted Hussey to be a massive success as I'd followed his career at Wimbledon. I even ended up writing a article for an Aussie Wimbledon Supporters Club magazine (they asked because of my enthusiasm when we signed him!), but it didn't work out, sadly. Bobby Gould would have turned him into a player, maybe.

tbf to him, i remember a game against Cardiff where he came on as sub, spent about 20 minutes with his hand in the air unmarked as we resolutely refused to pass to him - ironic cheers throughout the ground when we finally did!

I think that he had some really good games but when he got exposed defensively, the crowd really got on his back and he visibly went to pieces. He hasn't really gone on to much after us. Odd that some players can be the rated the best in the Conference (Hussey, Simpson..Culpin?) and fail to step up, yet others like Pearce, Wright, Boyd, Austin, Kightly, Gayle and dozens of others have good careers in the top division. I think what marks out the failures is that...we sign them.

Culpin's an interesting one really. Not even a particularly bad league record after leaving us, but his career was always downwards!

Even scored for us, but having never seen him play I can only assume he offered sod all other than the hope of a goal, given his career.

I don't think Simpson ever let us down In any way
But I guess you're right that didn't catch fire
It was league above this however and he was largely played wide

Was It Ma who brought him In or Dowie
It used to frustrate the he'll out of me that he was never given Proper run at CF

    Dowie.

And yeah, why is it the Coventry DNA to play centre forwards on the wing?!?

Or centre mids in the cae of Chippo.

Yeah agreed Simpson was played out wide too much. As was Morrell, mostly by Reid. We killed Mifsud playing him out there. And Hadji was played there 'cos he didn't fit into a 442. And Boateng and Gynn (although they were both still ace there). Scowcroft actually worked out wide, though! Simpson was on the wing in the win at Man U, wasn't he? I think it was his cross for one of the goals. His career highlight I guess, along with that celebration-and the free kick that he scored in the brown kit.

Although a full liquidation of Birmingham City seems a long way off yet, I'd be surprised if SISU aren't already in touch with them.

They might well see the opportunity to sell the Golden Share and franchise CCFC to Brum.

If I were a CCFC supporter I wouldn't be watching RFC Franchise at the Ricoh...what goes around comes around.

What the actual fuck are you on about.
Oh I'm sure Blue Noses would be there en masse.
The only thing SISU have of any value is the golden share and that has a 60+ million price tag.
There's more chance of CCFC being liquidated than brum.
