Sounds quite serious, evacuated and everything grounded.

Suspicious vehicle apparently.

I'm going for it either being an Uber that isn't registered in Wolverhampton, or a fifteen year old red Corsa that is actually taxed and insured.

Around half 12 we were in a meeting at the Hilton and were evacuated out to the car park for quite a while. Once we left there for the station the place was chaos. Loads of cars at the side of the roads as they couldn’t get into the car parks. Armed police everywhere. Mass crowds of people with luggage not knowing where to go and what to do.

BHX being reduced to a smoking hole in the ground would actually improve the passenger experience (and would drastically improve the queueing times)

It’s got even worse since they made those coming from the station go down in the lift to queue there before coming back up again. Takes a lift out for starters.

I was there a few weeks ago and it was utterly ridiculous. And there was still a lift not operating. Arrived at airport before 4am, well over 2hrs before departure time, and still only just made the last call.

So bad that for my next flight i'm going down to London City rather than fly direct from Birmingham..... (part of this also due to the seemingly high costs of flying from BHX compared to other airports)

Who thought that any of that was a good idea? They need to be shown the door, for sure!

Incidentally, we paid a fiver each for fast track, and just barged our way through the tensa barrier on the upper floor to get to the fast track lane.

We’ve tried to avoid it when we can. More often than not we’ve ended up at Stansted or Heathrow recently.

Probably a bit weird but am I the only person that turns Stansted into Stansfield and starts singing Been Around The World?
