Every season since I was 3 years old I've had a different player on the back of my home and away shirts, I know a lot of you will find that sad having a player that's half your age on the back of your shirt but it's tradition !

So, my question.....What do you think our chances of keeping hold of Bigirimana are ? I don't want to order the new kit until I'm pretty certain he'll be sticking around ! Or would the club allow me to trade it if he did go ? I've made this bloody mistake before ! (I was the young lad with Jarni on my back for an entire season !)

Cheers all

Play safe and put bell on. He's going nowhere.

Haha!! I had Jarni too!!

Your best bets are Elliot, Bell and Baker... the rest are all in contention!!

Just get "Academy Kid" on the back of your shirt and you'll be fine.

If a good enough offer comes in for him he will likely go.

Get Bell on your back just to be safe as no other club would touch him.

Haha, it's a tradition I may have to stop, last season I had Keogh and Cranie year before I had King and Gunnar

Maybe I should have Bell !

I know we have some kids in the squad this year, but when did we have one that was one-and-a-half?!

I have a feeling Bigi will stick around, but the consensus is not wrong... you can't legislate for an acceptable offer being made for a promising youngster and a cash strapped selling club doing what they do best. As a compromise, don't get his whole name, just BIGI. Done.

I always get my surname on the back now with my fave number 8, one season I made the mistake off picking a player who left a week later. Great stuff looking like a dick all season.

I reckon Bigi won't be going anywhere for now. How bout Cody? No doubt we'll end up relying on him.

I'm going like someone else on here with my own name, either The Rev or Willis, infact i can't lose if we keep our new center back.I might play safe with The Rev on reflection and it will be making its shirt debut at Yeovil, as i know i'm going there as the mother-in-law lives there, and the wife's alreaday booked the weekend trip.

Every player is up for sale, have your nickname on the back, as long as its not something like Billy Big Bollocks

Couldn't wait any longer to get my kits ! Got home and away for both me and my little girl, McConnell 6 (my last name and number I played in) and Demi 3 on the back of hers (her name and age)

Not much change left out of £200 :-O

Why do people waste a stupid amount of money on replica kits and names and numbers on the back then wear them to every game? Not having a pop, just always seen it as something for little kids not grown men.

Help support your team financially,
Summat to wear down the pub,
Tradition,
Plenty of reasons, my main one is I live in Norfolk so seeing anyone in a Cov shirt is a rarity, like to wear my shirt round Nowrich with pride on match days, enjoy the abuse !

And there's nothing sweeter than me and my little girl walking down the road in matching shirts, also you say grown men, when I'm older than any of our playing staff I'll probably stop, I'm only 26

You don't have to justify to anyone why you buy a cov top, people buy them because they want one end of

£50 for top, football league badges and name and number to support your club for the season? Massive money right there... I live in Newcastle so no one up here see's a football kit past black and white! Your comment shocks me, can't believe you actually wrote that.

Agree with the other sentiments. Living in Devon there are very few of us, so I like wearing my shirt with pride. Though personally I haven't got a name on the back since I got stung with McSheffery.

I support my club by going to games, not by playing dress up.

No but you can do both without being questioned by others, I wonder how many people over 25 buy there clubs kit each year, would guess its a hell of a lot

Why do you support your club?

For most who support a team that isn't in one of the so-called Big Four/Five in the Premiership, it's about identity. This is who I am.

I am proud to be a supporter of Coventry City Football Club. Every season, I buy a shirt every season, and have done for years. If, like for example 2010/11, I don't like the shirt... I don't buy one. I think being a supporter of a team like Coventry, and doing so with pride, says a lot about a persons strength of character. Whenever I travel, I do so in my shirt. Whenever I go to a match, I wear my shirt. Sometimes, I even wear it when I'm not travelling or at a match.

I buy a shirt whenever I visit, wear my city shirt for every match whilst listening on the Internet. Talk about our shirt being a rarity, a football shirt is rare in this part of the world ( hockey crazy Canada). Will not have a players name since I bought the purple / yellow away had George Boateng on the back 3 weeks later he was gone

I don't have names on my shirt simply because there hasn't been anyone worth it in recent times, if there was someone worthwhile getting on the back I would.

I respect that a lot, not your sarcastic ending to the statement though. I work Thursday-Monday, So dont have that privelage, although i do make the effort for the Tuesday home and away games and I wear my Cov shirt with pride.

Also seems you dont play dress up next Cov game I go to I will look for the naked dude in the stands.
