Why would it be good - he's just another below average league one footballer

Yes the forum will go into meltdown if bigi resigns. He is loved on here the amount of threads on him. Doesn't even play for us anymore but every week there was a thread on him.

Good player btw I would see him as a moussa type of player which we need.

You never actually saw him play then. Think Stephen Hughes and you might be closer.

Bigi is a very technically gifted player, but the thing that he would struggle with is our terrible pitch. It could affect his style of play.

Though I would be very happy if he signed.

O'Grady is a big lump who I think would score a few goals. I would rather Madine ahead of him.

He's no Moussa in my opinion. Just another midfield sitter, another Conor Thomas.

Am I the only person on this forum who thinks Bigi is massively over rated? A league 1 trundler at best

Overrated, maybe, but he was a solid player in the championship for us. Down here in league one he may well be a good signing.

If we are in a relegation scrap as we may well be, I wouldnt like to be relying on the likes of Bigirama to keep us up.

I agree, he tries hard, has a good back story, prays on the pitch, always looked happy, and therefore becomes a fans favourite, I admit to love seeing him turn out to play. Not good enough to make any difference in this team though, we did very well to get a decent amount of money.

Bigi is not over rated he is a technically, athletically gifted he is also better than most of our current midfield and would make our squad deeper in quality. The question would be does he have the desire to play at our level to try to get his career back on track or is he happy at taking the money and waiting his turn to break into the first team...

Let's be honest. You are up there with NLHWC in the "I know zilch about football" league.

The question is not about whether he is overrated the important question we should ask is would he fit in and do well in League 1 with the players around him??

I personally think it's a gamble worth taking and then we can decide if the gamble paid off.

8 Mins to go, I'm pretty sure their is no debate here and he will not be coming in.

After all the likes of Finch are seen as the enforcer / ball winner / playmaker we require.. Il get my coat.

While he is payed what he is, what other option does he have? or is your in depth football knowledge know different. His ability is not going to be in question his desire to play at the level we are is... Just because you do not rate him means fuck all the fact i do rate him higher than what we have means fuck all, what is fact is Newcastle rated enough to pay a fee and a decent wage, my point is what does he do now??...

You do struggle with facts sometime Gren,,,you deal with superstition and then insults for a large part of the posts on here.. I don't have to justify myself or my knowledge to you about the game or the club, but will stand up for it when you spout bollocks...

No I have but thanks for trying to correct me. I appreciate it. I have seen him even for Newcastle and he seems quite skillful and can get a goal to me. I'm truly Sorry if that doesn't fit into your opinion but it's how I've seen him.

It is weird how some people would be genuinely annoyed if Bigirimana came back on loan. After all, who'd want that dynamic duo of Finch and Barton to miss out to a talented youngster who has proven himself at a higher level. Ain't gonna happen now anyway.

Get a goal - 1 in 54 appearances? For me he's nothing like moussa, he's more a pass and move type player. I watched him for Newcastle and most of the time he played deep and passed the ball 5-10 yards to a more experienced player.

Gael Bigirimana

Another talented youngster who's development has been stunted due to lack of football, is considered unfairly crap by a few on here because he failed to be a world beater at 17/18 years old in one of the worst teams in the championship that season under a manager who is widely considered to be the worst ever.
See my comments on Nimely yesterday.

He hasn't produced much evidence to disprove you currently. I'm still amazed we managed to get £1m for him - SISU played a blinder there.

Would he be good now.... not sure - but would he be any worse than Thomas?

It hasn't happened for BIGI up there as something appears to have Turned Pardew off him.

Did he make an England U21 appearance ?

He seemed Competent enough In the Several Uefa games he played there .

Are we Due a Stage payment for certain milestones ?

One seeming constant from the group that came out of that youth Squad Is they ultimately go off the boil ,like they lose the appetite .

Why Is that?Christie ,Clarke ,Thomas Bigi etc.

See we may end up getting a fee out of Clarke If the CT Is to be believed ,with several higher placed club's monitoring .

i agree with you totally that he was over rated, but I can confirm that it would nye be impossible for him ,or anyone come to think of it ,be worse than Thomas

I think it's more that they show potential. The big clubs harvest them and then they stop making progress. The failing is more on the clubs like Newcastle and Tottenham who seem to do this an awful lot.

How many times will these footballers with potential go for the money and their careers end up going backwards. Either incredibly badly advised or more interested in a quick buck.

Controversial one but I would have him back
I would have nimely back
I would have baker back
I would have cody back
I would have Marshall back
I would have Leon back

In exchange for some of our squad at the moment

I would gladly swap the wages for

Tudguy
Jackson
Swanson
Pugh
Mcqoid
