Hope he can kick on this season

Gutted it hasn't worked out for him this far. He's a decent player! Maybe a move to the Premiership so soon into his career wasn't the best route for him!

Got some European football under his belt though I guess!

Certainly didn't look out of place In a very young UEFA cup squad in the 4-5 games I saw him play.

I think many on here said as much at the time. But, who would have turned down the opportunity? Not many.

Yeah, he moved far too early, he'd have been far better off staying and establishing himself as first choice here and playing week in week out.

Although there were glimpses, he didn't particularly standout in the championship, so it was always going to be very difficult. I expect him to get sold/releases within the next 18 months, which is sad. Crazy to think he's still got another 3 years on his contract.

I suspect God told him to go and play for Newcastle. It's not wise to argue with him.

Thorn pushed him far too hard and far too early. Remember the month or so he burnt out and never even made the bench. Good luck to the boy, and like someone else said, "Hope he can kick on " from here.

Didn't God tell him he would help bring success to CCFC? I seem to remember him saying that.

Thorn fell out with him and isolated him from the squad.

He always looked mediocre to me. At best (very best) a lower end Championship footballer.

To be honest he didn't seem to push himself too hard on the pitch. I wasn't too disappointed when Bigi left, it seemed a good deal for someone with so few games behind him.

Yes, he did. God is past, present and future and we will return one day. The problem is Samo you are only human so you can't see the future so it's about how we view faith and hope. You obviously have a negative character so you can't see hope. Bigi believes so the future is positive for him. I know which I would follow and it's not the negative way many do willingly follow.

Paul... I have both faith and hope without the need to believe in fairy stories. Bigi was told by his imaginary friend that he would help CCFC to success, and then to sign for Newcastle. It's not working out great is it? No I can't see the future but I'm prepared to stick my neck out and suggest that neither scenario looks likely to bear fruit. I'm not being negative, just realistic. What I hope is that Bigi has learned from the experience and grown as a person.

No, you are negative.

I can assure you Paul that I am a very positive person, I work for a charity that does great work, I have faith in the universe to provide for me and I am always full of hope for the future, even that my football club will return home. But I do not need to view the world through the soft focus filter of religion to live a happy life. If that makes me negative from your point of view, go ahead, call me what you like.

Read your threads from the beginning, and you will see you, like many on here are negative characters. Many of us work for charities as I do too but just because you work in a positive environment doesn't mean you are positive. 90% on here are negative but you are one of the most negative.

Personally think it would be positive if God stopped advising footballers and started preventing kids dying in war-torn parts of the world, but, you know, mysterious ways and all that.

Matthew 7:1-3 said:
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

All part of his plan.

You view me as negative for two reasons:

1. My views are often contrary to the majority on here and because of this I find myself often in disagreement.
2. I do not share your faith and you, and many of your kind, simply cannot conceive that people can be happy, fulfilled, moral and positive without the anesthetic you indulge in.

I would suggest that your initial and unprovoked attack on me is negative, your judgement of me is negative and almost everything you have offered on this thread has been negative. Maybe a little look in the mirror?

Shmmeee what is your point. If people understand Christianity they would know we don't need to quote 'old testiment' quotations, that is the purpose of 'Christianity'. So if want quotes get facts right.

Also, people say that Gos ahould help the poor and misfortunate, but he does. Go to any Asian country and you will see a richness of belief. Or, South American like in the world cup.

It quite strange how most on here don't believe but suddenly become lukewarm christians when the threat of Islam is around.

Want to read something negative? Read the reports from Syria and Iraq. Pain, suffering, torture, beheadings, fleeing citizens...and so on and so on... all in the name of god and religion. Accepr that that there is no god.... or believe in the all powerful being that allows this. Your choice. I am with the no god theory and am not in the mood for religion. Sorry.

Samo, I w0n't change what I said. You, like most on this site are VERY negative people.

Oh of course I realize you won't change, you would need capacity and inclination for that. Ironically, you do seem to be having rather a negative impact today.
Btw: I think Shmmeee was suggesting that perhaps you shouldn't be sitting in judgement?

Then don't reply. No one asked you to.

Cripes, I'm sorry I started this religious stuff. So to make up for it, I'll proffer the opinion that the Labour party made a right cock up of the economy in their last couple of terms and it would be a disaster if they were elected again in the upcoming elections. There - that should calm the waters down.

I would accept that but now they seem to have 'lost' 119 files that are connected to 'politician's behaviour' doring the 80s and 90s.

I prefer to focus on all the many thousands of files that were not lost. Glass half full and all that! :)
