GAEL Bigirimana has vowed to return to play for Coventry City again one day * to the club he calls home.
But that is unlikely to be an immediate return on loan, as some fans might be hoping, rather at the tail end of what is pointing to be a glittering Premier League career after joining Newcastle United for a reported fee of £500,000, which could rise to £1million.

And the 18-year-old midfielder has urged the Sky Blues to reinvest the money they get for him into the Academy to help the club develop more talented players like himself * a commitment club chief executive Tim Fisher has already made by saying that all the money will be invested across the football side of the business, from youth development to the first team.

“Coventry will always have a special place in my heart,“ said Burundi-born Bigirimana.

“I will always be grateful to Coventry for giving me my chance in football.

“This is my home and there's no place like home. Wherever you go you will always come back and I'd love to come back

Nice sentiments from a kid still unspoiled by the crap that goes with being a footballer. I mean the arrogance, agent speak, etc.

He's living my dream footballing career. Lucky bastard.

If he is true to my plan, and his word, he will come back near 32ish, player coaching role whilst working on his management badges.

Manage us till he's old n grey.

I know the lad personally and his upbringing and church back ground will always keep his feet on the ground. I've rarely met an 18 year old lad that is so mature and grounded for his years, especially one that has the world at his feet.

He didn't want to leave but the chance to develop as a player was too big a pull in the end and I can't argue with that being in a better squad will benefit him. When he says he wants to return he's speaking from the heart. I wish him all the best and hope he reaches his potential.

Fed up of hearing all this sanctimonious church b*llocks and what a nice lad he is and how he loves the club.

I don't blame him for wanting to better himself nor for being blooded before he probably should have been, but he is no longer our player and a gun was not pointing at his head to make him leave. If he had really wanted to stay then I'm sure he could have.

I hope he does well and good luck to him, but the way we're carrying on is as if its like it was when we lost players like Dion - who despite having played brilliantly for a few seasons and made us 10 times the Bigi money so far, is still not forgiven for one bad call by many of our fans.

Our best chance is that he makes his millions and buys the club when we're in the midland alliance
