Allardyce admits to be being flattered by reported Burnley interest

Sam Allardyce has admitted he is ready to return to management in England if the right offer is forthcoming.
The former Blackburn boss, who has also managed Bolton and Newcastle, is taking stock after being removed from his post at Ewood Park by the club's owners, Indian poultry giant Venky's.
Asked if he would return to management in England, Allardyce told the Sportsweek programme: "It depends for me on the job that is offered.
"I can only wait and see who makes me an offer. If they have the same ambition to me then I will take up that position."
Allardyce revealed he had not been in contact with Championship side Burnley despite being linked with the post following the departure of Brian Laws.
"There has been a little bit of speculation, which I am flattered by, that Burnley are interested in me," he said.
Allardyce is unable to comment on his departure from Blackburn for contractual reasons but was resigned to the fact owners are free to do as they please with clubs.
"It's entirely their decision, they are the owners, they have paid the money and they are entitled to do what they wish to do with that club," said Allardyce.
But Allardyce, who was replaced at Ewood Park by Steve Kean, had a warning for his former employers.
"It's a high-risk business and if you are an investor you really have to start making the right decisions almost immediately," he said.
"If you fall out of the Premier League the financial implications are disastrous."
