Juke Bid

"Sky sports are reporting today that Coventry have rejected a 1.5mill bid for Lukas jutkiewicz.
Coventry have said they want a 3mill+ bid for him to go."

Think our best bet is a part sale / part player swap with club.

So they didn't even say not for sale, if we sell him were well and truly fucked.

Our best bet is to keep the only striker of merit that we have. My god I wouldn't wanna see Platt or Freddy go ATM and they're shite.

If there is something in it and they have bid, I can see him going!

I can't see us turning down much more if they come back with higher offer.

He's a good player, I rate him. But for 2m we'd get a good deal IMO, could sign a couple of decent players for half that fee then bank a mill.

Swap deal, dont see it. Who is left at Burnley that they will let go

Juke can double his wages and like you guys think he will go. £1.75 million and good bye. Shame because he will be good this year. Who would we buy withy the money??

Isn't that basically what he cost us? I know we're in financial trouble and all, but even we aren't stupid enough to sell off our only decent fit striker less than a week before the start of the season for effectively nothing on top of what we paid.

He's a doubt because he has a dead leg. Footballers really are puffs nowadays.

Good shout. Would make sense from the club's perspective even if it's not what the fans want.

I'd rather we kept him and bought Le Fondre for £1mill. SISU need to get their hands in their pockets tbh.

I'd let him go if we did get le fondre but then another striker for a mil aswell.

If SISU sell juke then we might as well give up, I mean he is the sort of player we should keep, he's young got a lot of potential and we already have a thread bare squad as it is so selling Juke would be utter madness. Ken Dulieu keeps saying how he managed to convince the owners to keep funding the club so why does he not go to them and work his magic again by convincing them that Andy Thorn needs some financial support to buy a few players that will provide some depth and optimism back for the fans.

I think your missing the point, they would be selling him to make money, not to reinvest. They would HAVE to buy one striker, maybe spend 500 000 or a million, but that's all we would get, the rest would go in to SISU's coffers

Nope, don't rate Le Fondre. Looks like the next Freddy from what I've seen of him, and he's already had scoring droughts in L2! So the perfect replacement, then

If we sold Juke and signed A.L.F then we're back to square one really, we'd still be short of options up front.

Burnely have some money following sales of Eagles and Mears for - coincidentally £3m and now Tracey is off to PNE as well so a: we know they have some cash and b: need a striker as they only have Charlie Austin, Martin Patterson and Rodriguez so we can hold out for a few more quid. Expect a bit of bargaining and for Juke's deadleg to keep him out of Saturdays game -Platt and ROD up front - bet Sven is panicking. Bye Bye Juke for a couple of Mill - AT will be lucky to see 0.5m but even thats unlikely. Maybe we should say Juke £2m Juke and Eastwood £1.75m.

They'll sell him for 2 million or an undisclosed free which will be little over what they've already bid. I'm disgusted at this time when we barely have a strike force that they have made a clear hands off warning. :blue:

I would only sell Juke if Sisu gave AT at least 1.5mil to spend, so he could buy 3/4 players. But we all know Sisu wont give AT any money what so ever

I also think this is our best bet. No disrespect to Juke but it shows you how low the calibre of strikers are at the moment.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was the board trying to be heros again and making it all up.

"Lets pretend we turned a bid down, the fans will love us and all by season tickets. Just like when we said Marlon was signing"

Interesting that in the Skysports piece they claim we only paid £300k for Juke yet we have all been lead to believe that we paid around £1m - more misdirection/miscommunication from our illustrious leaders?
