Anyone know what went on last night in the second half when, while the ball was out, the referee called over Doyle (I think it was ) and spoke to him about Biamou, then called Biamou over ? Strange thing. I didn't see anything like a bad tackle but did wonder whether he had been involved in something rather unsavoury being said .

Was shouting as chasing the ref after the penalty not being given then shouted at him again after a tackle on him which the ref gave advantage for

On the radio they thought Biamou was getting a bit shouty at the ref so Doyle was asked to have a word.

I thought the ref might have said to Doyle that he couldn't really understand Biamou and then having listened to Doyle thought he'd be better off speaking to Biamou himself.

In ice hockey you can say what you want to the ref using a full range of bad language. However if you use gestures that show dissent, like waving your arms about, you get penalized.

The ref was concerned that someone had invaded the field of play with a football kit on and was wondering if he needed to be escorted out the ground. Doyle then reassured the ref he was actually a football player.

If that was the case, why was he not questioning Doyle about the Ginger one, the goal keeper and McDonald?

I think it was one Gallic shrug to many for the ref, after having his tea in Cafe Rouge he was all Frenched out.
