Just watched the final series of 21 episodes over the last 2 days. My first time into it. Must say, the blank screen in the final episode left me hanging....... guess it was supposed to.

Not sure if this is a full recommendation but after a fair bit of research for a zombie type show (I fancied something different) I settled on iZombie.

Very different from Walking Dead, as it isn’t post world apocalypse etc, it’s centres on one girl who accidentally becomes one and ends up working in the morgue for the police department so she can access brains to eat, which ultimately give her visions/flashbacks from said brain, so she ends up helping with investigations.

It’s not an intense show, but like Lucifer which I previously recommended, makes a shaky and poor sounding concept work really well. It surprised me with the number of times it made me laugh, and stories get deeper as it goes on. And likeable characters.

Good watch, but in the concept of ‘easy watching’ as opposed to “proper” shows like the usual suspects (The Wire, Shield, BB, SoA, etc etc).

Really enjoyed the first season of that. Not sure why I stopped watching it.

It’s worth getting back into - there’s five seasons on Netflix and I’m half way through four now.

Characters get better and stories deeper. For example, Major (despite the silly name) actually becomes quite a good comedic character.

Everyone will have seen it, but introduced the missus to Extras on Netflix last night. She was still laughing about it ten minutes after we’d turned it off. The Ross Kemp/Vinnie Jones episode is brilliant.

Alex Horne's wife was on the radio the other day talking about the show, while they've completed the upcoming series they've also done most of the one after and even started the one after that. Suspect that means Covid limitations will still be some part of it for a while in some degree

Starts tonight on BBC2.

The truth behind The Terror: how an Arctic expedition became a horror story for the history books

Ridley Scott's chilling series offers a supernatural answer to one of history's great mysteries – but the real story is far more disturbing

Just started watching SnowPiercer on Netflix. Only a couple of episodes in but enjoying it. Tried the film once and never got into it so didn’t watch it properly so no idea how it compares.

Once you get past the ridiculous premise of “we’re on a train because climate change for reasons” it’s enjoyable.

I'm on to the second season, it's pretty good. Some of the actors ham it up a bit sometimes but it's that kind of show.

Resident Alien in Sky One is excellent. Largely thanks to Alan Tudyk, the lead role would have been very easy to get wrong.

An alien sent to Earth to kill all humans crash lands need a small town and ends up passing himself off as the town doctor. He learns how to blend in with the locals from watching Law and Order reruns.

Better than it sounds from that description. Its another comic book adaption. I'll just post the trailer that will give you a better idea.

Just finished watching the mini series of Kevin Costner called 'Yellowstone'. It's one of those slow burn well produced series with fantastic locations, and a very stron story line that builds to some disturbing events. Really well worth the watch as you start picking your favourite characters. It's based around a huge ranch in Montana and the family (a bit like the Euings) with the trials and tribulations involving running a huge cattle ranch, the indian reservation, city slickers wanting to build housing and casino's and the unsavoury mob style characters too.

I watched the first 1 1/2 episodes of 'The Good Place' (Netflix) last night, but had to stop as it appears to be shit. Anyone got further than me? Is it worth another try?

I would say yes

I really liked it and I think it is worth sticking with. I did stop watching after about the third season though. Felt it had lost its way a bit.

About half way through. Its decent but not amazing. Think it could have been slimmed down to a lot fewer episodes or even a movie. Seems to be going at a snails pace.

Like the guy who has developed a method to generate
electricity through s ceramic set up by pouring our Urine In or through it

Suggesting to be brick size and fit into our walls , scaling that up for something more centralised .
Methane naturally as a gas etc .

Oh and something that can replace or make anti biotics work more effectively , especially against the super bugs .

I watched this last night too and found it very interesting.

Also good if your watching it with someone else with a similar childish sense of humour,so that you can keep dropping lines such as 'this is shit', and 'he's taking the piss' at the appropriate moment(s).

Recently I've seen the following that have been good...

4 Blocks - about a Lebanese organised crime family set in Neukoln, Berlin.

ZeroZeroZero - Mafia / drug / cartel thing by the maker of Gomorrah. Lots of stories all converging at some point.

Seaspiracy - Documentary about commercial fishing, watery version of Cowspiracy.
