Just watched the first "new" Frasier. Very creaky. But then that was what I was already led to believe anyway and even all the excellent reviews say it takes a few episodes to get going.

It's pretty much a whole cast of completely new characters.

I love Frasier so I'm very hesitant about it as the trailer made it seem too much like a more standard US sitcom with the lighting, broad jokes and slightly too big laughter. However I've heard it gets into a groove and to be honest it can't be worse than the episodes of the original series that featured the Moon family.

Yeah, seems like a laughter track to me, but it can't be surely can it?

It's Freddy I have the most problem with.

Won't say anymore and you can see for yourself.

Just on the second episode and enjoying it so much more. The first episode just seemed to limp along very tiredly and was bereft of lots of great one-liners to my mind

This is much better.

There's one joke I saw about Frasier not knowing how to pronounce the Celtics in the name of the Boston team which is a good standalone joke but flies in the face of the fact he spent the 80s in a sports bar in Boston. Of course I'm leaning on continuity too much considering they had to retcon his dead dad in Cheers to actually being alive again in Frasier

Ah now that's a good sign, glad to hear it. With a lot of US stuff you can almost dismiss a first episode or even season in some cases

Halfway through Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix. Really good as expected so far. Some pretty nasty jumpscares as well

Bodies is the maddest programme ever

Super slick production and absurd plot with all actors taking it seriously

Stephen Graham with a wig that makes him look like Syd James in carry on dick and hamming it for all its worth

It’s a must watch

The Wagatha Christie documentary is an expert lesson in filibustering, how they managed to pad it into a three-part documentary, I will never know.

Just finished it. Whoever thought of it was on LSD. It's too random for me.

Just started watching season 3 of COBRA on Sky, currently on episode 2. It's just as shiny and OTT as the last couple of seasons but I don't mind that for 6 episodes, packs some drama in with a decent cast.

This one's pretty on the nose which I found funny - an eco group called Planet Resistance are protesting against a new high-speed rail network cutting through the countryside just after the government have just introduced a new police/anti-protest bill.

Recently started Brassic, after seeing a lot of people talking about it. Pretty funny, but seems to get weaker as the series go on

Thought I’d give it a try aswell but didn’t really get all the razzmatazz surrounding it. Probably just because Michelle Keegan is in it I guess.

Some of season 3 filmed in Manchester Central (it was the defence expo venue), suddenly recognised it. I wondered how I missed that but it was filmed while I was working abroad at the end of last year.

Late to the party but just finished Succession, which I really enjoyed. What a bunch of awful people, but great TV.

Just started on season 2 of The Bear. Which is great for a binge watch as episodes are only 30 mins

Killers of the flower moon - very long but great if you like slow burners. Take packed lunch….and empty bottle if your bladders as weak as mine

The burial (Prime) - really enjoyed this. Fun film. Based on true story.

If you want something dumb but flashy 'Culprits' on Disney+ is fun enough.

Plenty of potholes but moves at a pace that it's pretty bingeable.

View discretion: the main character really looks like Fankaty Dabo in some scenes which may cause trauma for Cov fans

Hmm .... I have watched it. Started off really well and thought I was going to absolutely love it. So, watched the whole thing.

The last few episodes went downhill though, I felt. Spoilt it rather. Very much did for me anyway.

Pity.

The UK one is back soon too. I'm glad we've not followed the US format where they add in celebrities to the cast

Yep, crummy US format.

The Aussie version is very much about game playing. The NZ and Canadian versions are on Daily Motion as well.

I didn't realise there were version of Traitors in those countries too haha.
Do really enjoy the series, but wish they'd trim down the daytime challenges where everyone gets on. The backstabbing and scheming is the best bit of the show

"Time" Bbc. Series 2.
All main characters are women so may not be of interest.

Just watched the biggest pile of shite I've ever seen on Netflix. Don't , and I really mean DON'T, bother watching the dross movie, "The Killer".
30 minutes in until the actor (Michael Fassbender), actually speaks! Up to then it's all his narration in the background. BORING!!! Then it jumps from 'episode' to 'episode' for no explained reason! No storyline! And the ending?? It just bloody stopped! Total waste of time! Be warned!

It’s all about opinions…

The Killer review – terrific David Fincher thriller about a philosophising hitman

Michael Fassbender is perfect in the main role of a yoga-loving assassin who discourses on everything from morality to the Smiths
www.theguardian.com

I mean they’re very different reviews!
