I'm watching the Leftovers and its shit. I watched S1 when it first aired and that was pretty good. There ws then a big gap before S2 which was very different and I was struggling to follow, I assumed because I'd just forgotten what was going on, so gave up.

But people go on about it being one of the all time greats so I've given it another go. It makes Lost look like a well planned out sensible show.

I'm at the point where I've wasted so much time on it and there's only 4 episodes to go so I'm going to slog through the rest but fucking hell unless this massively turns around this is the biggest load of nonsensical rubbish I've ever seen.

I enjoyed the first series but quickly lost interest, the synopsis of the rest of it seems to validate my choice

Saw the new Luther film last night. Enjoyed it overall but not too sure on the last quarter/ending.
Not too keen on the direction they seem to be taking him, and it feels like a grittier James Bond rather than the early few series that was more grounded and you had the dynamic with Alice

Wise move, slogged through to the end and it got even worse. Can only think the people that say its amazing didn't have a clue what was going on bit didn't want to admit it in case they looked stupid so claimed it was genius.

I have finished season one of Auf, Wiedersehen Pet on ITV Player. Very good. The ending with the hut burning down was perfect.

Also, finished S2 of Early Doors on iPlayer. Fantastic comedy.

New series of the Mandalorian has started on Disney+. First episode seemed a bit pointless, but think I have been spoiled after watching Andor.
Hope it picks up a bit

Oldie but a goodie! Dead Mans Shoes.
It's a story of revenge.

Always been told to watch it and finally have, Paddy Considine is fantastic as lead role, director Shane Meadows.

it's free to watch on YouTube

Love that film. The image of the whole gang bombing about squeezed into a Beetle is hilarious

One of the best British films ever made.

Watched Bullet Train last night, or at least about 20 minutes of it. What a steaming pile of turd.

If anyone enjoying The Last Of Us is in the market for more post-apocalyptic TV, then Station Eleven is fantastic (if occasionally pretty pretentious).

Better call Saul was recommended to me - watched two episodes - not overly impressed- does it get better ?

It's one of my all-time favourite shows, although it really is a slow burn.

It’s essential if you’re a big Breaking Bad fan, but yeah, it does get VERY slow in the first two seasons. I don’t begrudge anyone for sacking it off, no matter how good it gets by the end.

Yeah, it's deliberately slow. I can see why some people don't take to it. Certainly a massive help if you were a Breaking Bad fan

Midnight Mass on Netflix. Watched ep 1 and 2 and getting drawn in nicely. Not sure how it will develop but so far pretty impressed.

It's really good. Mentioned before in this thread I think, but I really recommend all of Mike Flanagan's series on Netflix. Especially Haunting of Hill House

Cheers did the last episode of breaking bad accidentally - so I think it’s a no from us - however MH370 documentary looks interesting
