Did episode 1 of the Tourist last night and it was great. Shades of Jason Bourne about it all so far.

Also tried Screw on channel 4. Turned off after 20 minutes. Was expecting something like Time from last year but got Hollyoaks.

I have no words for this at all. The Foo Fighters playing the Foo Fighters in a movie? Sounds awful, but the trailer looks like it may be great fun.

Yes. Just finished it. Episode 5 is a bit all over the place isn't it, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

Didn't drag at all for me and only one niggling little bit about the finale I didn't like so much.

Talk of maybe a new season coming, but sure if that's a wise move.

Think a new series with Dexter taking on the Harry/Deb role . One bit about the finale I was disappointed with but I’ll leave it in case others are watching

The Ray donanvon special is on in America this week so I’d imagine it’ll be on sky soon

Yeah, though the same thing about Dexter and that would work wouldn't it. The conscience thing.

It's the only way it would work I think.

Just watched the new Matrix. Hands down the worst professional movie I’ve ever seen. Just terrible. I’m amazed it was released.

It’s clearly a fuck you to Warner Bros from the director and the cast, which I find self indulgent at best, but it’s an incredibly poorly executed fuck you with no subtlety or craft. Everything from acting to cinematography to the dialogue to the storyline is garbage.

It probably doesn’t help that I rewatched the first before with the missus because she’s never seen it, and while that corny in places it’s worlds apart from this.

Watched it all today. Some magical moments, but I do wish he would stop keep saying c**t all the time. It works something, but then is diluted at times due to the frequency of use of the word.

Weird to see Keith from the Office on there. Thought he couldn't get a good gig for love nor money.

Did S3 of After Life in one sitting last night, accompanied by blubbing wife and a bottle of English white wine.
I didn't blub though. No sir. Not me. No way.

To be fair, it didn't quite match up to the previous servings (for me), but still superb.

Just watched all episodes this evening. Thought it dwelt with the morose side a bit much. You did well to hold it in for the final episode, my Kleenex had another purpose tonight!!!!

Watched the trailer for Norsemen on Netflix last night, and added it to my watch-list as it looks like it might be amusing in a sort of David Brent meets Game of Thrones kinda way.
Anyone seen it? Should I bother?

Due to the comments on here me and Ms Hutch binge watched the whole lot of After Life at the weekend.
Neither of us being Gervaise fans we expected the worse
We were wrong , what an absolutely brilliant series
Had us both in tears

Ray Donovan movie.
Encapsulated the series really, some great dialogue and storylines ruined by it veering into nonsense.
Still enjoyed it but like the series this is why it was good rather than great

For some reason I thought it finished too abruptly. Didn’t like the bloke with the knitted sweater. not needed and made me wonder what goes on on Ricky Gervaise’s mind. The story could have gone on. It made for good tv. Not into the C word but the series is something special. The character left us hanging and I hope it comes back. Liked the dippy secretary and gervsises miserable match.

After Life would be better if Ricky Gervais wasn't in it. Appreciate the themes it deals with which TV often doesn't touch but much like Derek it feels too self indulgent. Weird one. Overall I didn't like it although there are some funny bits.

I absolutely love it, and Gervais plays it perfectly.

IMO.

I'm afraid, while I liked it, I am kind of the side of many of the critics on this latest After Life series.

There are some things only Ricky Gervais could get away with - After Life is one of them

The comedian's final series is so emotionally charged and philosophical it starts to feel manipulative

Ricky Gervais’s wit is bogged down by sentimentality in After Life season 3 – review

Ricky Gervais’s foul-mouthed comedy about grief and community returns for a final six-episode run. Despite its good qualities, however, it fails to pluck at heartstrings quite like it intends

After Life season 3 review: Its greatest strength is also its biggest weakness

"Let's just carry on, and nothing changes."

There were some memorable moments for me, but it fell short.

And I still hate the C word and certainly this amount of use of it.

My daughter felt the same. We really loved the first two seasons, but struggled with this one and also felt the podcast foul-mouths introduction, appeared to be merely to grab a few cheap laughs too. Their character arc had no point. Just to come in, rant and let off a series of naughty swear words and then piss off again.

Could have been any louts at the fare for that last scene. The podcast thing just wasn't needed at all.

I rooted for the Tony character previously, but this time round it just seemed to be a few people telling him what a wonderful person he was, while he continued to go around and call everyone a c**t and not be nice for the most part.

I think it should have finished after the second series.

I’ve only realised there was a 3rd season of this via this chat. I watched the first two and enjoyed…might get round to this. After I’ve finally finished the sopranos of course…I’ve had longer relationships than this series!
Your last comment got me thinking about series that go on too long. I’m sure people would disagree but I think Breaking Bad could’ve a finished a season earlier.

Considering he's so funny usually, I thought Stephen Merchant was absolutely terrifying.
BBC have released a documentary about the case around the same, but I've not got around to watching it yet
