Don't get me wrong, The Guilty was ridiculous at times, but then Vigil was this ridiculous times 10 and I liked that too, daft as it was.
I didn't get the twist first thing. Think I was too invested in Jake Gyllenhaal's character. Wasn't a surprise when the twist came though and I thought that bit was poorly executed.It just didn’t go anywhere for me. The “twist” was very obvious early on and not enough to sustain the film on its own as me I didn’t care enough about the characters. I left feeling quite unsatisfied.

Yeah, I got that and I read the reviews. Most said it was worth watching for Jake Gyllenhaal's performance alone and that was very good and it is a remake of the original Danish film, with the exact same plot. That film has fabulous reviews.I just thought it was a total stretch to attempt to link his personal crisis with the one unfolding on the call. Felt the whole thing was disjointed.
