Ooh that's good news, I saw that the production company went bust or something like that and it had been long enough it felt dead and buried.

Latest episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is really good. Already can't wait for next weeks.
Gutted it's nearly the end of the first series already

Really enjoying Industry season 4 on iPlayer.

The plot and dialogue are often very difficult to follow, by design, but it's a great example of how outstanding acting and production values can do a lot of the heavy lifting.

This is a really good film, that seems to have flown massively under the radar :

She Rides Shotgun.

Taron Edgerton plays a recently released prisoner, who in order to survive in jail, became part of an Aryan gang and is now trying to get out of the gang. However it doesn`t work like that and after his ex wife and her partner are murdered by the gang and as they tighten the noose on him, a hit is put on his daughter too, he goes on the run with her and as time goes by, he starts to realise that the gang is not as it originally seemed.

It`s part road movie, part revenge movie, but filmed with real sensitivity and intelligence, as Edgerton does anything to keep his daughter alive.

Edgerton is supposed to be the star of the film and he is very good, but Anna Sophia Heger, as his daughter Polly, is just spell binding and her performance is that good, you can almost feel Edgerton happily handing the lead over to her. The chemistry between them is dazzling.

You also have to bear in mind, that she was eleven when it was filmed - she reminds me very much of young Patricia Arquette and has to be a shoe in for a future star.

I genuinely didn`t think Edgerton had a performance like this in him either tbh.

It`s one of those films that audiences loved, but the critics were a bit sniffy about and I think it`ll be seen as a very good film in years to come.

Having said I was going to watch Small Prophets weekly I got through the whole thing in one sitting at the weekend.

Absolutely loved it. Thank fuck they didn't use CGI.

Looks like series 2 has been confirmed, no idea where they're going to go with the story but can't wait to find out.

Just finished series 7 of Brassic.

I can see what they were trying to do with it, with the individual episodes, to try and round the whole thing off, but ultimately it didn`t really work.

A couple of the episodes were really good, but it all felt a bit disjointed compared to the previous series.

Cardi and Carol all but absent, Erin popping up only now and again, no Tyler at all and Tommo and Davey Macdonagh having the lions share of the screen. ( some of which was very good )

The scene were Jim, Shirley and Sugars mum, Liz, had a three way in the garden shed was one of the funniest things I`ve seen in years and did have me howling !

I put silent witness on to see which bits of cov were in it. Turned it off after a bit. It's parody type stuff nowadays.

Did you see it on the big screen with surround sound ?

I saw it on the biggest screen at the local multiplex and when the 666 scene came on, with Iron Maidens Number of the Beast pumping out full belt and filling the whole cinema, it made the place feel like it was charged with static electricity.

Cinema at it`s best.

I feel sorry for John Davidson at the baftas, he must be in a very dark place at the minute

I hope he gets to meet them behind the scenes and apologise. On the other hand not nice having to hear that either. A horrible situation for all.

Hopefully away from the social media nonsense he can apologise directly and make them see it wasn't personal to them.

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You - brilliant and Rose Bryne deserves all the awards.

Although whoever decided to class it as a comedy drama probably needs checking up on, it was pretty intense stuff.

Its about a therapist with a sick daughter and a husband who is never around as he works on a ship. Basically a film about her slowly losing her mind as everyone piles pressure on her from all angles.

It's a really nasty situation all around and I have no doubt every person involved feels awful this morning.

I can only hope that Davidson, Jordan, Lindo and everyone else who witnessed it and must have felt horrified and baffled, are okay.

It's bizarre to me that the BBC didn't edit it out, considering it was broadcast on a delay.

Yeah hopefully he can have a chat with them and explain, if they didn't know already then speak to him about his condition. Obviously not nice for them either but could be maybe made a bit better by realising it wasn't actually somebody being malicious (like some people are).

It doesn't help with so many people on the internet trying their hardest to be offended by it and how Americans clearly don't seem to grasp what the condition is.

Can guarantee that John Davidson will be more traumatised by it still than anybody else in 6 months time.

Some of the comments I've seen on the socials this morning, up to and including demanding that Davidson should be muzzled, have been wretched. It's a horrible and very misunderstood condition to live with at the best of times.

Just watched the first. Very good.

Despite being a completely different take on events, it still felt authetic.

Love the soundtrack they use in it too

I've looked them up on Spotify.

I thought the first one I was like wtf give me stuff I know but then it grew into it. Then they use the cinematic covers of old songs and they really work.

Anyone been watching the three part dramatisation of the Thames Water and South West Water scandal on Channel 4 - Dirty Business ?

It`s very well done, with an excellent cast and just like " Mr Bates and the Post Office " you can feel your anger starting to rise whilst watching it.

I knew a lot of it all ready, from following it in the media, but the one thing that I didn`t know, was how complicit the Environment Agency was in all this, to the point of being a co conspirator, with their denials, cover ups and giving the water companies a free pass to carry on polluting regardless.

Heartbreaking too, with the death of the little girl from Ecoli after coming into contact with human waste, whilst on holiday and the subsequent suicide of her dad, who blamed himself.

People need jailing over this.

Anyone else watch DTF St Louis? With Jason Bateman and David Harbour.
