I'd imagine this will result in the Amazon Prime model; Netflix will have a separate "channel" for HBO/WB that will be an additional cost on top of the Netflix subscription, although they'll probably use this acquisition as an excuse to raise that as wellNetflix have announced they are buying Warner Bros for $83bn. That includes HBO and HBO Max. Wonder if that means next years launch of HBO Max will be sacked off and they'll merge the programming in with Netflix.
They've could do 'channels' similar to Disney+ with Netflix, HBO, DC and WWE channels.
ITVX are already advertising some programs that require you to subscribe to Disney to see.I'd imagine this will result in the Amazon Prime model; Netflix will have a separate "channel" for HBO/WB that will be an additional cost on top of the Netflix subscription, although they'll probably use this acquisition as an excuse to raise that as well
ooh now then
Was it a good movie? I've arranged to watch it with the other half on Friday. The Everyman cinema is a bit overrated imo, the chairs can get uncomfy for a longer 2+ hour movie. Give me a showcase cinema with the reclining chairs all day!Went to see the new Knives Out film yesterday. Best of the lot id say. Really enjoyed it…although we saw it at the Everyman so my wallet says I should’ve waited until it’s on Netflix.
Totally agree re the comfort factor. I was fidgeting around a fair bit as my arse fell asleep. Also, we were off to the side, right at the front, so not the best angle to be watching. Was it a good movie? I've arranged to watch it with the other half on Friday. Watched Wicked: For Good on Friday and I do not have the heart to tell the Mrs that it's not a good series. Personally preferred the theatre version but its definitely not on my 'watch again' list.

Regardless of this, it was a good un we thought. We watch a lot of Whodunnits and very much enjoyed this one.
Good is it? I saw the advert and thought, “that looks a bit mad”. I might give it a go then.First two episodes of War Between the Land and the Sea were excellent.
Definitely worth a catch up on iplayer if you missed it.
Isn't capitalism brilliant, competition and all that. FANTASTIC!!Netflix have announced they are buying Warner Bros for $83bn. That includes HBO and HBO Max. Wonder if that means next years launch of HBO Max will be sacked off and they'll merge the programming in with Netflix.

While I can definately see some issues with Netflix and WB merging from a competition point of view, given Netflix and HBO Max are two of the largest streaming services I think its ultimately a far better option than a Trump / Saudi led Paramount takeover.Netflix might be gazumped still, Paramount have come in with a bigger bid for more of the assets. No idea what any of it actually means but I got the email from Netflix announcing the purchase so it'd be quite funny if that was premature.

Yeah. Just a shame about the ending, which let it down somewhat.
Watched this last night on SKY Movies - surprisingly good & a tiny bit of the Hitchcocks about it

Up until then it was a very good watch.
Finally got round to watching The Bear. Just finished season 2 and really enjoying it. The quality of cast is insane.
Yep totally agree. Find it insane! It has to be a real passion for sure. Just watching them work exhausts me.The acting and writing is insanely good.
Why anyone would want to work in that environment is beyond me, no how well paid you are !
Unfortunately it’s mostly downhill from S2, but those first two seasons are magic. Finally got round to watching The Bear. Just finished season 2 and really enjoying it. The quality of cast is insane.
Episodes 3 and 4 tonight, one to go next week and unless they fuck it up this could easily be show of the year for me.First two episodes of War Between the Land and the Sea were excellent.
Definitely worth a catch up on iplayer if you missed it.
Have to agree Chief, all four having been brilliant and building all the way through, hope 5 doesn't disappoint lolEpisodes 3 and 4 tonight, one to go next week and unless they fuck it up this could easily be show of the year for me.
Probably between this and Plurius.
Watched the four episodes that were available on iplayer and thoroughly enjoyed them. Shame the final episode isnt available until next Sunday.First two episodes of War Between the Land and the Sea were excellent.

Decided to watch this on catch up to binge it. Never sure whether to watch in real time or binge.Watched the four episodes that were available on iplayer and thoroughly enjoyed them. Shame the final episode isnt available until next Sunday.
I find the release schedule a bit odd. Surely you either put it all up on iplayer in one go or do one a week, or one every night for a week.Watched the four episodes that were available on iplayer and thoroughly enjoyed them. Shame the final episode isnt available until next Sunday.
