Good last episode of the Jackal.
How surprising he survived again for S2!

I’m only halfway through but as soon as I clocked how much Eddie Redmayne looks like Ben Sheaf it’s really taken me out of the show.

The franchise has evolved quite a bit from it's bawdy, 60's past hasn't it.

Not sure this one is going to be that funny at all to be honest.

Every few months there seems to be rumours about a new actual Carry On film. Would be interested to see how one turned out if they ever did make it. How they get the balance between not offending everyone, updating it and keeping fans of the original franchise happy.

Watching Wolf Hall as a new series is on BBC - I had no idea series 1 was made in 2015!

Sorry Otis.
Got it all wrong, he was taken out by a Russian agent and series closed.

Thought Eddy Redmayne was really good, brought a new slant to the Jackal character, flawed and human underneath it all.

Lashana Lynch, as Bianca on the other hand, is a very poor actor and they really could`ve got someone better to play her part.

Right, I've had a pill, so will probably regret this post in the morning...

Boybands Forever (iPlayer) is really good.

In my chemically altered state I keep drawing parallels with football.

Talented, working class boys, in a tight formation doing what they love, adored by millions but spat out when they stop being useful for the management.

Not in the version I just watched, he wasn't.

In mine, he gave all the killing up, retired to Norfolk, married Bianca and then went on to win several gold medals in the East Coast, clay pigeon and hook a duck championships

I really enjoyed it, you see how much they were just seen as a replaceable commodity that's chewed up and spit out the other side rather than people.

Seriously - two episodes left for me, but I spend most of my time wondering why he's not working on his midfield partnership with Josh Eccles ahead of Portsmouth on Saturday:

I can’t believe it wouldn’t just be woke rubbish - comedy has changed - still
Love the CO films - my favourite is Khyber followed by Convenience there again I am still watching Thunderbirds going through the episodes from the 60s

Yeah. Loved Day Of The Jackal, but thought the ending was very weak.

Without giving much at all away, the decision making by certain parties was daft at best.

For those who enjoyed the series, "Dexter", Paramount are showing a prequel series on Sky. It relates to how Dexter Morgan started his life as a serial killer. New episode each week. Enjoyed episode one.

Pig (Netflix).

Lovely film. I'd recommend watching it without reading up on it at all.

It's got Nicholas Cage and a pig. That's all you need to know.

He was a real leftfield choice for this role, but he really was outstanding in this.

Old ( M Night Shyamalan )

Two hours of my life I won`t get back.

A group of tourists on an idyllic island, are dropped off on the pathway to a secluded cove, where for some they all start to age rapidly and can`t escape due to the magnetic powers of the rocks causing blackouts every time they pass a certain point.

Utter garbage, just like every single one of M Night Shymalan`s films since the Sixth Sense.
