Allen isn’t a spectacular defender but his energy in midfield means he often doesn’t need to be because he’s just always on hand to pick up a loose ball or pressure an opposition player into making a defender. Today, however, he won many balls and was fantastic.

That was a performance to be proud of! It's been a long time since I have seen city do that! Pep would have been ecstatic.Over 90 minutes. There are memorable games such as Luton this year and of course the Man U semi-final.
