Allen is a classic example of effort beating ability.

A player we signed to compete in league 1 who is now pushing for the PL

We were fuckin class from the start, absolute beast of a performance.
Energy levels from a different planet, struggling to think of a performance at this level ever.
Fuckin magnificent.

Allen was incredible. The last of the old school continuing the drive up the leagues. He's outlasted the rest of them.

There’s a possibility, however small, he captains us to the premier league.

I love Allen for his performances, but his celebrations when we score too. Always goes mad. Proper loves the city.

Should've been Liam Kelly in fairness. But Allen is probably his spiritual successor

Every single one of them today was exceptional. Not one bad performance, we absolutely bullied them and outclassed them from minute 1

Allen Grimes and Torp turned into primes Xavi Iniesta and Busquets

Defence untroubled and solid as a rock

Haji well what can I say. The man can play in the premier league easily on his day. EMC and Tats also quality

Overwhelming feeling of pride. Bounced back from a garbage performance with the best of the season

Agree with all. It was my most enjoyable game of the season. Even the sun came out and when the EMC song got rocking it was a right party.

Still have to pinch myself that we’re just winning so regularly in the Championship again. Easy to take it for granted and forget it was only a few years ago that getting a point against championship sides felt like a huge thing in that first season up.

These amazing times just keep on rolling. PUSB

Complete performance. Was intrigued by the way EMC and Wright swapped roles at times, with EMC moving to be central striker on occasion when Haji drifted wide. Their right-back will be crying himself to sleep tonight after being toasted by those two.

Great effort all round.
I have to say that was the best game I've ever seen Jamie Allen play, where the fuck has that performance come from? I've no idea what FL has done or said, but it's clearly working.

Exactly this. Allen isn’t a spectacular defender but his energy in midfield means he often doesn’t need to be because he’s just always on hand to pick up a loose ball or pressure an opposition player into making a defender. Today, however, he won many balls and was fantastic.

And he won some headers. His all round game was excellent.

Over 90 minutes. There are memorable games such as Luton this year and of course the Man U semi-final.

That was a performance to be proud of! It's been a long time since I have seen city do that! Pep would have been ecstatic.

The next generation by Frank Lampard.

Thanks for the memories Mark Robins but we have an elite coach now.

Without CC4L calling me one of the agenda crew whilst Lampard is performing brilliantly he still hasn't achieved close to what Robins did so your fact is again weird

It’s crazy to think after watching his performance today that he’ll be a free agent soon. If a league one team kept him fit what a signing that would be

I'd never say anything negative about Robins though, he'll always be a Sky Blue Hero.

FL has certainly justified big Doug's decision to part company with MR though. And the back room staff that FL has assembled are all working miracles it would appear.

I still don't understand why MR didn't bring in a new no2 and why he tolerated the ipad monkeys. Maybe he had little choice

Honestly I can’t remember a more complete performance for a long time. There have been better matches, but purely for skill and dominance I honestly think it was one of the best I’ve seen live as a Cov fan for near 30 years.
