Three for Leon

Former Coventry City striker Leon Best hit a hat-trick for Newcastle United tonight.
Best, who has been told by Geordies boss Alan Pardew that he does have a future at St James' Park scored two in the first half and one in the second in a 5-0 home victory over West Ham United.

Best has become the third Newcastle player this season to hit a hat-trick, following Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan.

Steve Kean's Blackburn caused more problems for Liverpool with a 3-1 win, whilst Emile Heskey was sent off for shoving Jordan Henderson in the face in a 1-0 defeat to Sunderland who also finished with ten men.

Chris Kirkland was carried off for Wigan in their 1-1 draw at Bolton. He was taken to hospital and diagnosed with concussion.
