Andros Townsend scored a fantastic goal yesterday, classed as Goal of the season already as it was that good. What wonder goal have you seen that is etched in your memory ? I've seen loads over the years, by Cov players and opposing ones. Ian Gibson v Cardiff was a cracker, he was in the air and caught it on the volley,it flew in the top corner. Alan Hudson playing for Chelsea v us at Highfield Road in the 70's scored an awesome goal. I think it can be seen on YouTube ? Any suggestions ?

Stevie froggatt goal against Everton in 98 was the most memorable live but David platt against Belgium in 90 was one that I will always love on the box

Live or in general?

I still remember a safri free kick at hr, I was right behind the goal in line with it and it was inch perfect. Probably not the best goal as biamous Vs Yeovil would be up there.

I've always liked Trevor Sinclair overhead kick in the FA Cup. For some reason I also like Arie Haan's belter for Holland against Italy in '78 and Maradona v England (not the handball) and Belgium. And of course Houchen's Cup final header.

Best goal I've seen live? Well, most memorable I think is Willo's screamer vs Newcastle, possibly just because of who scored it. 99 times out of 100 he's smacking that out of the stadium

The last home game before the 87 Cup Final v Southampton. They scored a cracker, can't remember his name but it was a worldy. It got a round of applause from both sets of fans.

What's the best goal people have SCORED, even in a kickabout or training?

I scored a fantastic volley from well outside the area when I was about twelve with a long ball dropping over my left shoulder and caught it just right and it went flying into the top corner past the keeper. About the same time I scored a great overhead kick. Ball came in from the right, I swivelled midair and connected with it over my left shoulder and sent it back across goal into the corner of the net. Also scored a 'Pele v Sweden' once. Brought it down on the chest, then on the thigh, flipped it over the defenders head, ran round him and volleyed into the opposite corner. And my half way line special in Sunday League, unfortunately into my own net.

I once scored direct from a corner for Caludon Castle against Binley in a cup semi final match. I said I meant it, but it was a fluke. But it got us to the final which we won.

Huckerby v utd would take some beating from the City. For an absolute moment it's Beckhams free kick v Greece. On TV for me it's Di Canio's scissor kick volley.

I was in Stockholm for the Zlatan show in 2012. It was the opening of the new national stadium that day. He scored 4 including the incredible overhead kick.

Four things stood out to me that day:

- Zlatan was a class above everyone and seemingly can just score when he wants.

- Joe Hart was starting to raise questions for me. His header clearance for the overhead kick was the most bonehead thing ever.

- Sterling made his debut and looked like a boy amongst men. Still does in an England shirt... Barely a single good game in 6/7 years.

- The England fans were stunned at the overhead kick. Half of them in silence, half were clapping out of respect.

Mad day that was.

Really nice to hear. Thank you. I bet! They’ve lived there since 1964/5. Have probably baby sat, fed and watered 90% of the kids in that area down the years at one point or another.

At Caludon in some meaningless game, I received the ball with just one defender between me and the goal. I smashed it as hard as I could and it hit the poor guy full in the face, but it bounced back perfectly for me to just stroke it into the net. The poor guy was still holding his hands over his face as I wheeled away in triumph.

Moussa only scored screamers, This is up there with the best I've seen live. Been to Deepdale about 10 times and that's the only good thing I've seen happen.

Although Hadjis and Keanes in this were pretty good. Ah to have players that could score goals like that and mean it.

Several long range goals at HR from the likes of Richie Partridge, David Thompson, Chippo and a few others but I couldn't tell you who they were against.

One of my fave goals is from the 1982 World Cup, by Eder (No. 11) for Brazil and boy, what a team!!

It's actually no.1 in this compilation of Brazil's WC '82 campaign (near 5 mins in), some beauties among them also.

I love that there's still a few blokes that do the jump up, throw your arm and shout fk off even when someone lashes one in from 35 yards. Erm who are you moaning at exactly?!

In a weird sort of way I'm putting forward Daley Thompson's goal for solo effort.
