Must give it a whirl.

Went to Basement Browns last week. Very reasonably priced. Not the best pizza I have ever had, but it was nice and like I say, very decent prices. Think it was £27 for the three of us including drinks.

My mum had a chicken salad and it was only £6 and really plentiful. We had to box up half of it to take home as she couldn't manage any more.

Takeaway pizza is dreadful but proper pizza is superb, if difficult to find.

When I went to Rome we were using the TripAdvisor app to find places to eat and the number one place on Rome at the time was a pizza place, so we decided we had to try it. Must’ve taken over an hour to walk to this place, wife complaining the whole way “how good can this pizza be!?” We eventually get to this little square, and there’s a shop no bigger than Gregg’s in Earlsdon was with a queue of locals out the door. We wait in line and it’s just a counter with a guy selling these long rectangular pizzas by the inch. But by god that was the best thing I’ve ever tasted, perfect crispy dough, right amount of toppings, just perfect. Since that and pizza in NYC, I can’t look at a Dominoes the same way. They shouldn’t even be allowed the same name.

Good pizza is God’s own food.

Jinseon Korean BBQ in Priory place, 3rd time there, absolutely brilliant. Best food place I’ve ever eaten in Cov.

Well worth a visit.
Every time I’ve gone for something different, time before tonight we did the actual bbq at our table where you cook the food, wasn’t going well but luckily the waitress dived in and saved us.

Starter wise / main accompaniment go for the ‘KFC’ Korean Fried Chicken our of this world!

I’m yet to finish my meal there as I’m so full don’t think that’s happened anywhere else, great portions, food and reasonably priced!

For Indian food it is The Stag and Pheasant.

The pub is a little spit and sawdust, which I actually prefer, but the food is top quality and the service great and it is always packed and regularly big parties from Brum travelling over to eat there.

For Turkish it has to be Antalya, although to be fair I am yet to try The Sultan, although love a large chicken shish from Pasha as well. Mainly when hungover on a Monday.

I have to say I have never had a bad steak at Cafe Rouge at the Belgrade and went for the first time in ages to Artisan the other month which was also good and very well priced.

The restaurant trade is certainly picking up in Cov and although it is mainly chains at the moment it is a good start, however, the local Cov population has to change its mindset and start using these in order for them to be successful and attract more new business.

Agree and interesting to hear a review of the Antalya, because it's the first time I have ever seen it mentioned.

Had no idea the Stag and Peasant did food other than over the counter pub grub.

Yeah.

It’s probably not somewhere you would take a bird on a first date but the food is excellent and the beer cheap.

Also, shows all the boxing and football. Well worth a visit!

Not really.

It’s only small so to the left is the ‘bar bit’ and to the right where people in but it’s not separate rooms but kind of a defined area.

Food is superb though and their cheese chili naan is legendary.
