From my dodgy ChatGPT research, apparently our best ever GD in a football league season was + 46 in 33/34. Can anybody confirm if this is true and do people think we’ll be able to beat it?

2-1 is our average score, so logic would suggest at least another 7 to add. With the home games we have it's likely to be more.

At 3 points for a win 63-64 and 66/67 would both be 82 points and 58/59 would be 84 accoording to my calculations

Sense of symmetry there. Went from div 4 to div 1 in 8 years when it happened in 1967. Same is happening this time (League 2 promotion in 2018)

Would absolutely love us to fill our boots against them, I mean we did Vs QPR but I think the tedious 'don't humiliate them' message might go round if we get comfortably ahead.

Got 82 in 1966/7, but over 42 games. Close to 90 pts if we'd have played 46 at the same PPG.'


Plus, in 1935/6 (1st in Div 3 (S) ) we had 57 points, +57 GD and would have got 81pts from 42 games if 3 pts per win, so just shy of 66/67.
